Re: Technical data - Focal length

Thank you very much. That is exactly what I need to better understand what I used to make my best images. It will help refine what equipment I will take on future trips.

Technical data - Focal length

I was listening to a photo discussion where it was suggested that we should find our focal length, i.e., how we see the world, by looking at the focal length that was used in our favorite images. Looking in the Catalog tab, I see a section under technical named Focal Length. I lists the focal length...

Here: everything applied to the JPG files, but they weren't versions of RAW files.
No, they are files from my phone. There were only 7 so I did them manually.

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

Before you copy your images, right-click and choose Metadata - Save Metadata to File. Where will it read the Metadata from? Your files. Is the RMC Metadata - Save Metadata to file not the same as Tools - save Metadata to file for all Out-of-Sync Images? Anyway, after Deleting the existing copies, f...

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

I don't have Automatically write out Catalog changes to the image file" enabled, I do the sync manually so it is done when I'm not busy working. Ah, I think I see where this is going. Where will it read the Metadata from? The images have been copied to another folder, same image, two separate folder...

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

I tried it again as above, no labels or ratings.
Verified the target folder, no change
Saved metadata to file for all out of sync images in the target folder, the ratings were applied but no labels.

labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

After I have applied labels and ratings to a set of images, I will sometimes copy a subset to another folder. That makes them easier to select in other programs that don't see all the images in multiple sub-folders at the same time. However the labels and the star ratings that were applied to the or...

Re: PhotoSupreme Unexpectedly Quitting and/or Freezing

Are you opening a lot of images in Light Table or full screen? This is what I noticed (multiple times) to significantly increase the amount of used memory - occasionally, up to the point where Photo Supreme becomes indeed unresponsive (for a couple of minutes, or even for good). I'm in build 3.3.0....

filter by time

In the macro command, I found %hh but is only takes exact values and uses: contains, doesn't contain, equals or doesn't equal.. Is there a way to work with images taken in a specific time range. For example between specific hours say 18:00 and 21:00 or after 19:00 or before 05:00?

Re: When Out-of-Sync fails

So six one, half a dozen of the other. Quick deletions or fewer orphans to take care of. I guess it will depend on what I'm doing and how many I need to delete at one time and where they are. I didn't mean to imply that Verify removed the image, it confirmed that the image had been removed and then ...

When Out-of-Sync fails

I was having a persistent image that would not sync in the Status (out of sync) tab. The little red dot stayed and the image would not be removed. Later I was did a verify folder and the image was removed. Is is supposed to work that way? There was no error message when Out-of-Sync finished to indic...

Re: Problem deleting photos

I also noticed that behavior to the point where I often delete directly in Windows Explorer or in other image programs. The image will then appear as missing in PSu but I can live with that. It would appear that PSu has to do a lot of housekeeping in its database which causes the visible delay. Don'...

Re: Workflow

Looks like here is a method to suit everyone's idea of how it should be done. Me, I do the following: Using DownLoader Pro, I extract the images from the SD card, renaming them to a standard "yyyy-mm-dd-sequence#". DLP also creates a new folder named "yyyy-mm-dd job-name" to store the images. Then I...
