Re: raw editor and PSU

Hi Mke, thanks for sharing your workflow. I am not quite sure I understand it though, are you really talking about physical folders called "Assignment Name", "RAW Files" and "RAW Files 2" on your hard drive? If so, how do you keep versions together? I thought PSU only supports versions in the same ...

Re: raw editor and PSU

There is no process indicator (!!!) if any adjustments have been made to the raw file itself before an output file is generated (See the discussion in the DxO forum here: http://forum.dxo.com/index.php/topic,10112.0.html). This I find extremely irritating and for me is currently a deciding criterio...

...or alternatively, to filter the files (using Windows Explorer or similar) before import, I guess.

Re: Face detection - versions

As I've been finding this rather tedious lately, I've just added a related feature request to Mantis at http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=2873

Re: Refreshing the Catalogue

To refresh for new folders, select the folder tree (or part of it), right click and "Scan for Missing Folders" To refresh for new or deleted files, select the folder(s) of interest, right click and select "Verify Folder" There's no automatic folder watching, but wouldn't be surprised if someone coul...

Re: Are optical corrections from DXO supported?

are you still using DxO? I am running a trial of version 10 and cannot find any way to see which images have been adjusted and which ones have not. It seems in Version 10 the icons that show if images have been adjusted have been removed from the thumbnails in the image browser. Can you confirm thi...

Re: Source file renaming queston and...

Can one Print Index lists with any "text info" accompanying the images eg filename? Hi Craig No, I don't believe that you can at the moment - but I agreed that it would be a good feature request. I'll raise one myself at the weekend if nobody else does in the interim - don't have my Mantis logon de...

BTW, if you want to relocate more than just the catalogs, take a look at "Command Line Startup Parameters" in "Quick Manual - Maintenance" (available from the help menu).

Re: Newbie Catalog Questions

Hello Rayto and welcome to the forum! 1) see http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=23294 2) Tools -> Catalog & select 3) You can import images into another catalog, and if you're written your cataloging to file then the details will be imported too. But I don't believe that there's a direct...

Re: Face tagging process, editing and searchin

I suspect that the problem is that - from your description - you're working with names that have been imported. Only names in PSU's 'People' category can be used for face tagging. I'm guessing that your names are somewhere in the 'miscellaneous' category that PSU creates when importing? If so, then ...

Re: Face tagging process, editing and searchin

I would like to search for a face tagged name and have all the pictures that are is tagged with that name come up. I do that all the time. No problem once you've got it working as described above. Also, I see no face tag name editing where you can correct a face tag name if it is spelled right. Mak...

Re: Collections vs. Events

Mke, thanks for your insights - the distinction between image content (labels) vs. image use (portfolios) is very clear and neat, although I'm not sure it works for everyone. (I'm mostly thinking of amateurs like myself, who may employ collections simply to organize pictures based on some subjectiv...
