Re: Labels to keep track of Birthdaycards

For keeping track i simply created an output category, specifying inside to which/what/whom i output the image.

For example "Output - Web - Zenfolio", or "Output - Email - [emailaddress]".

Could this work for you?

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one

Yes, promoting a variant in CO makes that variant the one that is visible in PS after rebuilding the thumbnail. But only one variant is visible in PS. Great to know! To get all versions supported, file a feature request in mantis (http://mantis.idimager.com/login_page.php), i'll support it (even th...

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one

Works almost - did not find the rebuild thumbs feature at first. Yeah, it's not that obvious, the context menu is one place. But there is quite a difference in colors etc in the PS preview compared to that in C1, even if I have chosen the best File handling setting for C1 in the prefs of PS. Well, ...

Re: RAW-convertors (Nikon Capture NX2 replacement)

By the way. For some reasson COP can not read a lot of my NEF's. I can not find a consistency in what files it reads and which it doesn't read. You can just raise a support case with P1 support (via their website), even if you didn't purchase the product yet. It should just read your nefs without p...

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one

Anybody who has managed to get a good workflow including Capture one as the raw converter/editor together with Photo Supreme? I do. It's rather simple for me (PSU v3 and CO8 on a Mac): 1. import images into PSU. 2. select and rate images in PSU. 3. "send" selects to CO8 with external program in PSU...

Re: RAW-convertors (Nikon Capture NX2 replacement)

No worries, that's what i do too :-)

But, if i'm not mistaken, PSU can be set to larger previews. And then the approximated CO8 recipe (or DXO or LR) will shine at you in all ... ehh ... "shinyness".

Re: Duplicate files in browser after LR use

Hert will join and explain this, but i guess the second raw file isn't really a raw file, but LR's own preview that PSU is absorbing.

Re: RAW-convertors (Nikon Capture NX2 replacement)

It appears that Capture One Pro (COP) has two ways operating: using a Catalog, and using a Session. You should always use sesions, even Phase One's own DAM, Media Pro, requires this way of working. When in Sessions it is possible to let PSU to adress COP to the folder in which the photo is being st...

Thanks for reporting back.

This would allow the user to select multiple l...

Don't be. Send an email to the support address, Hert's support is second to none. He will try to help you for sure and most probably will actually solve this.

Re: Photo Supreme Freezing Durring Import

Thanks for replying. I work on a Mac, but our server is PC based. I haven't had problems with it in almost 2 years working with it. We have had issues viewing only thumbnails on the PCs (the folders show red on their photo supreme). The server Location is labeled ' MACSERVER/SQlExpress' . The numbe...

Re: POLL: How Many Images Are You Cataloging in Photo Suprem

I am new to PS and am interested in cataloging over 400k (eventually) images. I don't see why that should be a problem, provided you use the server version (i'm not sure how far the standalone (=sqlite) version would take you) and given the right server sizing. However, write an email to the suppor...

Re: Macintosh Setup Issues

I bet you're using Text to edit the pg_hba file (and postgresql.conf), as did i. What i found out after many hours of frustration, is that Text doesn't denote the quote like Postgres expects. So, for example on the listen_addresses parameter, copy the '*' from the example text in the file itself. Fo...

Re: How to control JPG quality during export (share)

Hi, I'm not totally sure, but i'm sure Hert will chime in in no time to really explain it ;-) As far as i know, when converting to DNG, the processing also stores a preview jpg in the DNG file, Peter Krogh calls it a "pretty good print". That is the small jpg, while you were expecting the big one. I...
