Re: Configuring PostgreSQL v9.3 on Synology NAS

I can connect to the DB via phppgadmin when I tunnel through port 22. PSU does not use the tunnel One of my close friends who is kind of a "geek" isn't able to get in either. Postgres is listening to 5432 (that's for sure); otherwise postgres would not tell me PostgreSQL:FATAL:no pg_hba.conf entry ...

Re: Configuring PostgreSQL v9.3 on Synology NAS

we_are_borg I have another question. No problems getting in with phpPgAdmin that has been installed on my NAS... so far so good I have installed pgAdmin III for windows - I can log into postgres only if I tunnel via ssh 22 otherwise I get: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "192.168.1.100", user ...

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one

@ Maczero I can't say for sure, but a few things to verify. 1. is your CO in session mode? If not, open a session and then send the images again. 2. are you editing the main version in CO? If not, promote the version you've edited and try again in PSU. If you did all this and still it fails for the ...

Re: Access to numberrange in server version

So, found the thread i mentioned above (http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=23266&p=105642&hilit=renamestack#p105642), which says so look for renamestack.xml in the "%localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc". But, i can't find it on my main system (which is the DB server). The Mantis ticket w...

Re: Access to numberrange in server version

I'm not sure either, but if you're not sure, it gets complicated doesn't it :D :D :D If I can't look things up to verify it, I can't be 100% sure about what I think I know..especially when a question is now ;) Sequence numbers aren't maintained over workstations Don't worry, just yanking your chain...

Re: Access to numberrange in server version

I'm not sure (though fairly), I'm not sure either, but if you're not sure, it gets complicated doesn't it :D :D :D but isn't the same file used in server version as in the single version? I'll give it a try and report back. Question then is how the sequence is determined when it is called from diff...

Re: Access to numberrange in server version

I imported some images twice (i renumber during import). I wasn't paying attention.

I know there is an offset option in the rename dialog, but it doesn't seem to do anything to the pics i want re-renumbered.

Access to numberrange in server version

Hi,

Does anyone know how i could get access to the number range counter in the server version (PostgrSQL)? In the standalone version, one could modify one of the config xml files.

Hope someone has dealt with this.

Re: Photo Supreme, an alternative to Paperless or Paperport?

Aha, i understand. I don't do all of that, even though i have content in PSU that isn't strictly photos (clipart etc.). You mention quite a few use cases, i'm not sure PSU is targeted at a number of those. Raising a feature request in Mantis may give you more certainty, perhaps Hert joins in this di...

Re: Configuring PostgreSQL v9.3 on Synology NAS

I have tried to do the same, but backed out of the idea after finding out how "not so straightforward" it is ;-)

Perhaps the following thread on this forum gives some further insight in the configuration: http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=23689

I may actually be doing that. But, could you explain more about what you mean by "paperless desktop software"?

Maybe more people can join in once your question is more clear.

Re: Can I use PS on both Mac and PC, with files on an ext dr

I have a Windows home computer and a Mac laptop that I switch between. I have my photos on an external hard drive. Can I use Photo Supreme on both computers to access the same files? Will changes made by one OS work seamlessly when viewed on the other? I believe so for the standalone version, i'm c...

Re: Write Portfolio info to images

Hi HCS, the funny thing is that I turned off auto-syncing several months ago, although I don't have any problem with its default enabling  (I may reconsider my own settings, in light of experience.) My point was really more about writing the catalog info to the files (whether manually or not)...

Re: POLL: How Many Images Are You Cataloging in Photo Suprem

There are other cataloging systems out there using SQLite, such as Lightroom 5 and Capture One Pro 8. Some users of Lightroom are happily running +500k catalogs, while Capture One users much sooner start to suffer performancewise. This would suggest that there are other more important factors than ...

Re: Write Portfolio info to images

No, I do not, because a standard (default) expectation from a DAM program is to write catalog information to the image files I'm not to sure about it being a default expectation. It is certainly not my expectation. - specifically, information mapped to standard metadata fields or to fields which I ...
