Re: Importing / Numbering / Renumbering

In my mind, the key to that doesn't have anything to do with a file naming convention. Instead, it has to do with developing an effective workflow and religiously implementing it. In the very rare times that you do mess up, the renaming system can provide the clue that that has happened but it shou...

Re: Capture One Edits

@hantayo49 and @Stephen Do stick around guys, it's worth it. The response from the IDImager team is awesome and you do really have an effect on the course of the program. I know i had some back and forths with Hert about the way both Capture One and PhotoNinja handle the processing settings and voil...

Re: Capture One Edits

I understand your point. If you are shooting tethered, though, you definitely want to shoot directly into C1 then import your images into PS. I don't think C1 is a very effective repository, and it certainly doesn't compare to the functionality of PS in that regard, so I'd prefer not to have C1 as ...

Re: Capture One Edits

... However, this is a stumbling block, so if PSU can work with sessions, i.e. Capture One .cos files, please could somebody guide me how to set it up? Not much to set up. In CO, create a session, or choose one to open if you already have one. Close CO. Now, from PSU, select more than 1 (one) image...

Re: Can't see DxO edits

I'm happy to do that, but you'll have to excuse me - I'm new to this forum. Which settings, specifically? And how do I share them with Hert? No problem. I meant the DxO settings file (.dop file if i'm not mistaken). You could share them via the general idimager email address, or alternatively raise...

Re: Capture One Edits

Alternatively, you can start in C1 if your images are already on disk or if you are importing from a card. Open C1, Create a New Session, name it and click the Import icon. C1 creates a Session folder with the name you gave it, with several subfolders. One of these is the Capture folder which is th...

Re: Can't see DxO edits

Well, turns out I was right - I was doing something wrong. I had made what I thought were radical changes in DxO that I couldn't miss in PS. I changed the White Balance to Sodium Lamp for an extreme color cast and rotated the image upside down. Can't miss, right? ... Make sure to share the settings...

Re: Editor on external computer

I want to use an editor (Capture One) which I will install on an external computer running a more recent OS than the one running on the computer where Photo Supreme is installed. Will that work and will I be able to install its icon on the PS desktop? I'd like to be surprised to see that this would...

Re: Out of Memory during import

That's a pity. I did the import from MediaPro with about 90K records, went without a hitch. But only after i had contact with the developers. I suggest you do the same, if all else doesn't work and no other user knows a workaround. You could hope for one of the developers to join this post, or log a...

At the end I would like to import +100K pictures .. :? ... Could you try to import in smaller batches? This is not about the number of pictures...

OK, no problem.

By the way, i wanted to implement on Synology NAS at first as well, but the daunting "instructions" around the net scared me away from the idea.

Re: Configuring PostgreSQL v9.3 on Synology NAS

I can connect to the DB via phppgadmin when I tunnel through port 22. PSU does not use the tunnel One of my close friends who is kind of a "geek" isn't able to get in either. Postgres is listening to 5432 (that's for sure); otherwise postgres would not tell me PostgreSQL:FATAL:no pg_hba.conf entry ...

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one

@ Maczero I can't say for sure, but a few things to verify. 1. is your CO in session mode? If not, open a session and then send the images again. 2. are you editing the main version in CO? If not, promote the version you've edited and try again in PSU. If you did all this and still it fails for the ...
