Re: PSu with Both Win and Mac Versions

Hi Carl Not sure if this addresses your issue but what I have done is download and install the iCloud for Windows "app" from Apple. Then set it up to Sync with my iCloud photostream. I set the folder to be a part of PSU catalog Folders and then when I verify the folder PSU picks up any new images po...

Re: Many files have "changed". Which action is best?

Hi Hert Right because the signature is different from what is in the database. And it also shows up as unverified! Are you sure ? I have just tested and blow me down - they are set unverified - when did this change - I am sure this was not the behaviour from the beginning  or I have just no...

Re: Many files have "changed". Which action is best?

Hi Hert and Michael I think I am also confused :-) When I sync a file (after making a change in PSU) does the XMP sidecar file not get changed on the HDD? And if it does should it not then get a new hash ? (because the contents have changed) And if it gets a new hash should it therefore not show as ...

Re: Many files have "changed". Which action is best?

Hi Michael I am just checking that I understand you. When you made changes in PSU - you then said "SAVE METADATA" from the context menu - and that process did NOT update the hash so therefore the file was marked out of sync ? If hat is in fact the case I think that is a bug - because in my mind any ...

Using Numeric Keypad to Assign Colour Labels

Hi Everyone Please could I ask for your feedback in trying to track down an issue I am having. It is in regards to assigning Colour Labels using the NUMERIC keyboard (6789 and /) - instead of the usual Ctrl 0 to Ctrl 5 On My system the following happens: In Full Screen View = Numeric 6789 Assigns a ...

Re: Share JPG via Email - received size is a lot smaller

Hi Michael I also don't like the fact the because it doesn't use an "email client" there is no way to track whether your emails have gone through and you can't see to whom you sent the emails. I end up emailing myself, and then forwarding the emails - its just easier and more simple that way then gu...

Re: "no label" or "not color labeled"?

Hi Toomas
is not documented in the PSU keyboard shortcuts
From the Post http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=16082
CTRL+0 to 5 = change color label
Numbers 1 to 5 = change rating

Re: new automatic versioning - be VERY careful

Hi

Just a thought.

The New "Folder limited" versioning works on the folder, and its sub folders - so could you not start a File Verify from a Top Level Folder, with your folders containing versions as sub folders of that Master Folder.

Re: Verify folder --> Version detection: instructions?

Just to chime in here. I think that this Auto version Detection on File Verify is a real Support Nightmare waiting to happen! Many people don't rename their files but just pop them in straight from the card / camera with the default name - and there is NO warning of what's about to happen ! And what...

Re: Eject memory card

Hi Dick

Is it similar to the issue I raised in Mantis 1032 (http://bugs.idimager.com/view.php?id=1032) - The "action" starts about 40 seconds in.

I still have this happening , quite randomly ,okay - because its a computer it's not actually random - I just can't trace the cause :-)

Re: Verify Catalog Folders

Hi Michael You need to NOT highlight the Root of the drive to start the Verify on, but the "root" of the tree of your picture folders, otherwise it will try and import ALL the folders on the drive. There is a Mantis Feature request to be able to specify the "Root" of your Pictures folder - to preven...

Re: Bad file path when importing

Hi Greg Instead of pressing Start Import - Click the "Select specific.... " box to look at the details. On the left under Subfolder you may have a rule selected that creates a date folder structure for images (yyy/yyyy-mm......) Change that to be NO subfolder Save the Profile. Then run and check tha...

Re: Versions created with external applications

Hi Tom Yes (For Capture NX2 - Never Tried using ViewNX - Can't see why it would be any different though) - But remember to Ctrl Alt T your thumbs (update the Thumbs and Previews) after editing - if the images are already imported into Supreme - so that the "latest" JPG embedded Preview in Read from ...
