Re: Need some help with milliseconds !

Happy to share an ORF or a DNG (both have the same result with the renaming rule). As I can't upload such a large file to the forum, is there somewhere I can send it?
Thanks for pursuing this.

Re: How to get the slideshow I want?

Thanks Tom This works ... mostly. Out of interest, here's what happens when I follow this approach. 1. My previews are rendered at 800x800, so going to full screen does not produce a picture that fills the screen. (Previews are kept relatively small to save space as the local drive is small on the n...

Re: How to get the slideshow I want?

In the meantime the workaround is not too bad ... export the relevant images appropriately resized to a single directory, and use Windows Photo Viewer. F11 gets a full-screen slideshow mode which can easily be paused. This is fine for planned slideshow sessions, probably would be less good for a spo...

Re: How to get the slideshow I want?

Thanks Hert. While I know that using the cursor keys lets me speed up the pace of the slideshow, my preference is in the other direction: to slow down the pace, and in fact to stop the show from advancing automatically to the next slide after 5 seconds (or any other time interval). Even if I use the...

How to get the slideshow I want?

I note here and elsewhere that slideshow setting are not customisable. The PSu slideshow as configured is very far from my preference. So how do I run a slideshow this evening for my friends to show my favourite pictures from my trip? I want to have control of the advance of the pictures, so we can ...

Re: Need some help with milliseconds !

Hmmm, when I was asking about help for scripting a while ago I never realised we were talking about Delphi; I was wondering how other people seemed to know something about the syntax. I only realised it quite recently. Perhaps a thought for Hert - when scripting is mentioned in the documentation or ...

Re: Dynamic Search on specific metadata fields

Thanks Hert for the response. Very useful. Re Q1: Indeed I guess I should have known this. However ... I hadn't noticed this possibility in the catalog view  . I didn't realise that these fields would show up there. I thought I had to do something from the Info panel on the right of the screen...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

Thanks Hert.
I've taken my followup question on that elsewhere as it's off-topic for this thread and I don't want to distract further from freudenthaler's questions and the interesting suggestion 3 posts prior to this one.

Dynamic Search on specific metadata fields

How do I search for a particular value in a particular metadata field? Referring to the case of searching for files taken on a particular date (specifically date taken rather than date modified or any of the other dates in the metadata), Hert says "you should be able to do that by including that par...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

To me it would make a lot of sense to be able to restrict a search or a sort to only one specified date field. The one I'd almost always be interested in is the date when the picture was taken. However I could imagine wanting to be able to specify some other date field instead. I find it harder to t...

Re: Unexpected result in search for Text AND Version placeho

Thanks Tom
In my case, it didn't seem to matter in which order I added the criteria to the dynamic search. So no workaround for me. Anyway it doesn't sound as though the behaviour I'm seeing is what would be expected so I'm heading on over to Mantis now to log it as a bug.

Unexpected result in search for Text AND Version placeholder

I have 6 files whose filenames contain the text 3365. 2 of these are related as versions (one Main, one Album Display). The other 4 are stand-alone files. I searched for the text 3365, and all 6 files were returned. I added this collection to the dynamic search, and then added the version criterion ...

Re: An option to make some labels version-specific?

Anyway I'm interested to know if other people think the option to make some label categories "version specific" would be useful, or not. And whether this concept and the implementation described in #1 and #2 of the original post is easy or hard to understand. If people seem interested then I will pu...

Re: An option to make some labels version-specific?

Hert, I agree I could log a request. But if PSu users tend to think it's hard to understand I wouldn't bother. On the other hand it might be that other people also think it would be useful. I'd like to know. The whole idea is contained in two sentences, and the rest is just a few examples of where i...
