Re: Photo Supreme Not Responding

In V4.1, on startup, PSU ckecks for images in the catalog that has never been fully imported. This can be the case when you import a folder and close PSU while the import is still running. Then on startup the import will continue where it last left off. Apparently you have such images in your catalo...

Re: Program auto starting

In addition to Username’s reply; the Update check takes place after starting Photo Supreme, not after rebooting.

Re: Why does it take so long to approve a post on this board??

Moderators moderate the forum, they do this on a volunteer base. In exceptional cases a few days extended trial can be granted. This can only be requested by email support@idimager.com

Btw, did you already read through the documentation as can be found in the Help menu of the hamburger menu?

ExifTool script in repository

For those who didn’t notice yet, there’s now a script in the repository that allows you to capture the output of ExifTool in PSU. Find the script by right clicking on a thumbnail and then select “Run from Repository->Metadata->ExifTool Metadata Output” This is the direct link with some more detail i...

Re: DxO PhotoLab support

WB is not one of the "elementary" edits for PSU. Maybe you switched DXO support level to approximation in 1426? FWIW; I always recommend using the elementary support as every form of "approximation" will be wrong. All the parametric edits of RAW develop software are proprietary. Meaning: only that s...

Are there still DXO file issues? AFAIK, PSU supports their latest DOP file changes.

Re: DVD_RTAV folders not seen.

there should be files in these folders (empty folder aare just empty folders). I never heard of DVD_RTAV but a bit of googling led me that there's a VRO file in these folders that represent the video file. You could add that extension in PSU

Re: compact catalogue failed?

Can always be that Postgres or the network has a hickup while connecting. I assume the database is still there? During a compact PSU tells the database to rebuild its indexes and vacuum unused table space.

I must confess that I love coffee, preferably Blue Mountain coffee.
When time permits I'll see if it can be improved on Postgresql.

Re: Forgotten Catalog Password

Now that's a problem. Passwords are stored encoded and are not retrievable, not even by me. If you can send me your catalog database file (no need for the thumbs database) then I can rewrite the default password to it. You can use Dropbox/GDrive/OneDrive/iCloud/WeTransfer or another file sharing ser...

You can also use a personal Google Maps API in the macOS version. PSU for macOS and Windows are identical in features.

Re: Errors in Technical Data section

PSU was just updated to build 1426. In this build the "NIKON,RATION,ION,CORP" issue is resolved. After installing 1426, run this small script with hamburger -> Tools -> Scripter For large database this will take a while to complete; so best to run it at a convenient time; PublicCatalog.BuildSearchDa...
