Re: switch from idImager 5 to Photo Supreme

IDimager was replaced with Photo Supreme 7 years ago but even today you should still be able to upgrade an IDimager database to Photo Supreme V5 (though that is not tested). 1. Make sure you use the last released IDI build (also run it) 2. Make a backup 3. Install PSU 4. Start PSU 5. In the preferen...

Re: Customizing the grid view columns

A warm welcome to the forum.

You can add custom fields in the Info Panel. Custom fields also appear in the grid view.

Re: V5 - Bold category titles ?

Bold categories are "Published" categories. That is for future use. if you don't like the bold, then right click on the category, select "Edit this category" and set a lower accessibility.

Re: Stacking settings in v5

None of the advanced settings from the "Import" feature are available when using "Import from Folder". That always uses the default settings. Just as you can't change "Apply versioning", your can't change "Apply stacking" when using "Import from Folder". I assume what you actually would want is to d...

Re: On1 implementation

That means that psu keeps the file and the on1 sidecar file together during file operations like copy, move, delete, or rename.

Re: PostgreSQL migration

Hi Gern, best to start here; https://www.postgresql.org/docs/11/upgrading.html#UPGRADING-VIA-PG-UPGRADE But if you're using Postgresql only for PSU then I suggest; 1. Make a backup of your catalog database using pdAdmin4 (don't use the backup in PSU) 2. Make a backup of your thumbs database using pd...

Re: PS v5 : geotagging still does not work

Hi Arnaud, this is a limitation of the Browser component on macOS. It doesn’t notify the application that the right mouse was clicked. This used to work until one of the macOS updates broke it. I always hoped/assumed Apple would fix that shortly, but apparently they don’t. I’ll try it on Catalina la...

Re: PS v5 Google API

Photo Supreme interacts with Google Vision. Vision is a Cloud service from Google and requires you to sign up for their service. Google Vision evaluates the content of an image using its AI magic and returns it’s findings. When you invoke one of the AI features in Photo Supreme with your Google API ...

Re: what in the next version of PSU

You're probably not signed up for the newsletter.

You can get your upgrade discount in the Control Panel at https://cp.idimager.com. There click the link "Switch to Photo Supreme V5" from the right side column. And while you're in the Control Panel, also sign up for the newsletter.
