Re: where are the instructions??

hierarchical labels, versioning, geotagging etc) Yes, Yes, No Is it possible, for example, to migrate an IDI catalog to PSU (without discarding useful data)? Yes, you can use an IDI database in PSU and it will be converted. Not the other way around though. A PSU database (either converted from IDI ...

Re: where are the instructions??

Instructions aside, which one is easier to use overall? What's "easier" for one doesn't mean it's easier for the other. In general, PSU should be easier to use. It's like asking to compare Windows with MacOSX while expecting them to operate the same. The Windows user interface can do much more, is ...

Re: where are the instructions??

Marnie7771, This is the most helpful forum that I am aware of. You can post all your questions here, even if they are the most rudimentary ones. We're here to help you so don't hesitate to post. PhotoSupreme is very feature rich and one of the pitfall is that you drown in its features, that is why t...

Re: where are the instructions??

Questions can be asked here.

Did you try the Tips button in the toolbar? That will tell you what all buttons are for.

To open two or more images on the light table, select the thumbnails and then click the Lighttable button.

Hope that helps.

Re: Those Little Flag Images

One tip; if you visit a site with flag icons then you can quickly assign them to your catalog labels. Just right click in Safari/Firefox/... and copy the image to the clipboard. Then in Photo Supreme, right click on the image area and paste the image from the clipboard.

Re: French Translation & bugs

Hi Rikly, Selecting more than 1 pictures and clicking right mouse button to delete, deselect 1 image. I don't see that here. If I select multiple images, then right click *on a selected image" then the selection stays active. I do see the behavior that you describe when I have a series selected and ...

Re: Those Little Flag Images

Aah, in that case Dirk is spot on. The images are stored in the catalog database as part of a catalog label's details.

Re: Versioning Workflow Advice for Importer

Michael, if one card fails you have at least the jpg's... I understand your reasoning, and that's indeed a good reason to do that (can't the camera record two NEFs, both on a separate card??)... but if backup is your argument then downloading them in a version combo isn't a real issue as you'd typic...

Re: Versioning Workflow Advice for Importer

I guess a word around is to download the files into one consolidated temp directory and then re import them with the importer Versioning but that just sounds cumbersome ? If you use two cards like you do then this would indeed be the way to cover that. Not very convenient, so I would store both the...

Frith,

Glad to read that you're now up and running.

About navigating a folder, you could do that in the Importer. There select that folder and you can navigate through the images. Of course then don't start the import...

Re: update to 1.0.0.44

This is an Apple issue so I'm a bit in the dark here. What I found about this error is that it is generally raised when your configuration doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I think your does though.

Can you check if the Photo Supreme app is still in Lion's Launchpad?

Re: update to 1.0.0.44

Hi Frith, I think you ran an older beta version. Because the latest version is 1.0.1 and doesn't have an update feature in it (so it can't tell you there's an update). This because Apple takes care of updates and hence it is not allowed to have an update feature in the software. Delete all the versi...
