Re: Anybody suffering start up problems ?

That doesn't make much sense...when you click on a background then nothing happens.
Can you press Alt+Tab, could it be that there's a dialog box hidden behind the application which waits to be closed.

Re: Anybody suffering start up problems ?

What is the catalog section (All - Categories - Portfolios etc) that you have typically selected on startup?

Re: Need help setting up email share

Windows has a concept called "MAPI", which is a universal mail application interface. Any email client that supports MAPI (which is almost every) can be used as PSU calls the MAPI interface. macOS doesn't have a standardized mail application interface, and hence every email client that needs to be s...

Re: how to compare out of sync file

After import all files should be in sync. And with the default settings in PSU, all files will automatically sync after changes are made in the catalog. In a workflow where psu is used for metadata modifications, a file can only be out of sync when metadata was not yet written. So a file that was fu...

Re: Problem batch assigning metadata

If your metadata in IPTC-IIM is not in-sync with XMP then that is something you must fix, because PSU is fully XMP driven and keeps IPTC-IIM in sync. Fix with right click-Metadata-Convert metadata to XMP.
btw Lightroom is also fully XMP driven so IPTC should already be in XMP

Re: Need help setting up email share

In order to use Gmail, you must configure your Gmail account to allow “allow less secure app access”, which basically means 3rd party use. And if you use 2FA with your Gmail account then you must create an application specific password; also see https://support.google.com/mail/thread/39423525?hl=en

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?

Psu keeps signatures for every file. Use Verify -> Verify Full will scan through a folder, looking for files that have changed signatures (in contrast to verify quick, which checks for changed file stamp and file size).

Re: Anybody suffering start up problems ?

Make sure that 1. Your catalog is compacted 2. Your catalog folder is excluded from any installed virus scanner (including Windows Defender) 3. Close all open tabs (on startup they need to be reloaded) Ps. Windows error reports are probably helpful to Microsoft, but useless to others. This unlike ma...

Re: Is your backup as big as mine ?

The thumbs quality is for now settled on 70%.. If I also reduce it, how can I rebuild thumbs ?? To rebuild the thumbs you can select all thumbs and press Ctrl+Alt+T on Windows or press Cmd+Opt+T on macOS PS. Reducing the size has a bigger impact on the size. PS2. After rebuilding the thumbs you sho...

Re: Is your backup as big as mine ?

A warm welcome to the forum. First of all, compact the database to clean up unused space in the file. Photo Supreme stores thumbs and previews of images. You can confIgnite the preview size and quality which will impact the size. Keep in mind that changes are effective from then on, meaning you’d ha...

Re: Cloud Vision API error

PSU only does AI labeling when triggered by the user.

Perhaps you clicked on Detect Labels In the LAP? Or used a shortcut that is assigned to AI labeling (see shortcuts manual)? Could also be that you have AI labeling switched on in the import profile?

Best to upload it to a cloud service (GoogleDrive, iCloud, OneDrive, WeTransfer or the like) and send a download link to support@idimager.com
