Re: Set location simutaniously with GPX

Hi Lippe
What you need is reverse lookup rather than lookup. And once you have the co-ordinates loaded from the GPX file simply select the images (if they aren't already selected from the GPX operation) and click on reverse lookup. You don't need to do each one individually.

Re: How to use face detection

Further to Tom's post, it would be great for back-converting images to be able to run detection on a catalog label (or folder or date or whatever) at a time; and have all the images in which faces are detected placed into a label so I can them go through them and assign the names to the areas. An ob...

Re: Copy Reduced Size Photo to Clipboard

You might want to consider "sharing to" a temporary folder, with appropriate resizing parameters set. This will create resized copies of your pictures in the folder you specified. Then simply use the web-sized photos you have created.

Re: Post Your Label Set Contents

Thanks for sharing this Mike, it has made me think about my own labelling. It makes perfect sense, now you've highlighted it, to use adjectives, and emotions, as labels, as what else are photos about if not what they convey and the the effect they are meant to produce on the viewer. A conventional "...

Re: workflow help - keywording

Hi HCS First of all may I say that if English is not your native language then I congratulate you because your grasp of it exceeds many native speakers, and I truly would not have known it was not your first language. I've been following this thread loosely, and if I may say so I wonder if yuo have ...

Mantis reporting against PSU v2?

Hi
I have a couple of things I wanted to report in Mantis, but with the imminent (?maybe?!) arrival of V3 I was uncertain whether to do so or not. Will outstanding issues logged against V2 be carried forward to V3 (assuming they are still applicable, obviously)?
Thanks

Re: Tips for working with Photo Supreme

Also double-clicking the zoom size number will maximise the use of space by expanding the thumbnails to fill the available space whilst keeping the number of columns the same - a quick shortcut to get as big thumbnails as possible with the desired number of columns.

prevent repeated asking for flickr permissions?

Every time* I share to flickr, PSU opens a web page to confirm flickr permissions for PSU, and a PSU dialogue to click OK when ready. This seems unnecessary once permissions have been granted - a one-off task. Is there any way of turning this behaviour off so PSU loads the images without this dialog...

Re: Misplaced image folders

Hi Hert Once again thank you for taking the time to provide assistance. With the information you gave above I realised what had to be wrong. It was a two-fold issue that caused me not to see the folders in FOLDERS. Firstly, I had set the root folder on C: to be where my pictures are on a W7 laptop. ...

Misplaced image folders

Hi, I have a slight problem... I have images that are in the PS catalog but which are not, on disk, where PS exects to find them. E.g. there may be a file IMG_0001.JPG that PS thinks is in folder C:pictures/2006/2006-05/ but which is actually on a different disk entirely, and one which is no longer ...

Re: Asterisk key for expanding lower hierarchy?

Just to add this is a general Windows shortcut, not just PSu. For example it applies in Windows Explorer on a directory hierarchy. Most of the laptops I've used have had "numberpad equivalent" keys invoked by a functionkey, often in the middle of the keyboard and next to invisible, but it does seem ...

Re: import issue following partially failed import

Hi Hert You got it - it was that the (corrupt, partially imported) files were still there and the profile was set to skip duplicates. I changed the profile to overwrite duplicates and it imported perfectly. I was put off the scent by the message referring to the catalog combined with the fact that t...

import issue following partially failed import

I ran an import from a memory card that was not fully successful, with 8 files not successful due to disk errors. Idi correctly knows that the 8 were not successful, logged the error, and defaults these 8 to "marked" when the card is inserted. But running the import again does not import the 8 image...
