error message when invoking geotag panel

Can anyone tell me why I get this error and how I can avoid it please? When I invoke the geotag panel and it loads the little map I get an error message as follows: An error has occured in the script on this page. Line: 0 Char: 0 Error: Script error Code: 0 URL: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/...

Re: importing

In V5 there is an option on the import settings, in the "copy images to new location" section, called "duplicate handling" with options of "skip file", "overwrite file", "make name unique". But PSU will normally remember which images you have already imported and will not re-mark these for import un...

Re: Oddity on forum ?

I did just have an oddity when replying to Hert, my reply ended up before his post. Due I think to timezone differences, and if so ironically exactly the same as my PSU issue report in post viewtopic.php?f=57&t=28543 !

Re: Share your best find in version 6

Yes, that's also very useful, especially when the tracker dropped out in the middle of the day and had to be restarted! I even tried it with a week's worth of tracks once, to geotag a whole holiday at one go, but that made it a bit slow, to be fair that did represent a great many data points in the ...

Re: wrong next/prev image displayed in preview and full screen viewer

No joy, still does it. I'd also previously restarted PSU and compacted the database when prompted on the restart.

Looking forward to the GPX track feature, that should be very useful for me.

wrong next/prev image displayed in preview and full screen viewer

I'm seeing a really odd effect, one I've never noticed before. Either I'm tired and doing something stupid or possibly it's a bug. I'm on the latest V5 version. I have a selected a label in the categories panel. I am then filtering the images - in this case any image that has a colour label assigned...

Re: time zones and sorting

I spotted that V6 includes "Fix for updating time zone in Redate dialog". If I do have to redate + reTZ as per last post (still really hoping there's a better solution!) does that mean I wouldn't be able to do so in V5?

V6 looks exciting, look forward to trying it.

Re: time zones and sorting

2020:09:08 15:03:55.740+01:00 means that that picture is shot at 15:03 in a +1:00 time zone. Sure, I get that. And I can understand that it is "natural" to have that time displayed in any information panel as 15:03. But that is the same moment as 14:03:55.740Z. It's just a different way of writing ...

time zones and sorting

I keep my camera clocks on UTC time. This is convenient for a number of reasons. But it causes a problem when I have a bunch of photos I am viewing together and some are from these cameras and some from my phone - as when sorted by photo date (in the "view" dialogue) the phone images are out of sequ...

Re: A viable approach to photo sharing with decent search capabilities?

Dropbox is just cloud storage. The searching would be done in defining the dynamic collection in PSU.

Of course the recipients of the files can search them if they wish.

Re: A viable approach to photo sharing with decent search capabilities?

I might be misunderstanding but I'm not clear why you see PSU portfolio Flickr sync as different to sharing a portfolio to dropbox? In the former you would define a portfolio with a dynamic collection, using your search term. Then you would share this to flickr. The latter is exactly the same - exce...

Re: A viable approach to photo sharing with decent search capabilities?

Static rather than dynamic, but you could PSU share to folder any subset of your collection to a dropbox folder that could be easily shared with your image consumers/ That subset could be a PSU search result set for example, or portfolio, or a label. As the search sets are dynamic, and portfolios ca...

Re: Slide Show Select

Alternatively select the images and put them in the image basket (shift-B) and play from there.
But I agree it would be a nice refinement to have the slide show play the selected images.
