Re: toggle full screen On or OFF

I'm not sure exactly how you are attempting to toggle full screen on and off but I have no problem viewing images full-screen by using the Shift+Enter keyboard shortcut. I also run Windows 10 64 bit.

Re: How to stop versioned photos sharing same keywords

It is "Living room photo frame" in the screenshot. You might want to consider using portfolio collections for this purpose. When you put an image from a version set in a collection, only one member of the version set will be in the collection. The down side is that you can only put one member of th...

Re: Can't Connect to Zenfolio

n8vz, I don't use Zenfolio and, judging from the lack of replies you've gotten to this message, I'd say not too many others in this forum do either. If I were you, I'd consider entering a bug at mantis so that Hert will have a record of it. He is more likely to address it there than he is to address...

Mke,

Thanks for the tip on the compare plugin. I just installed and tested it. It will be very useful to me for many purposes.

Re: Infopanel does't show camera Exif

Phil, when I want to see exactly what metadata is being written to the xmp section of a file, I open the file in a text editor and view the actual data. I use Notepad++. It may not be practical to do this with very large files but I'm usually just looking at xmp files. As long as you are only concer...

Re: Infopanel does't show camera Exif

Now I have to observe why C1, (LR6 and DxO too) did not write the EXIF into XMP, especially I configured C1 to prefer XMP. You're heading down a slippery slope. Trying to figure out who does what and why when it comes to metadata management is difficult if not impossible. Even if you can figure out...

Re: Beta 3.3 version

snowman1, Assuming you are using the stand alone version of PSU, I think you will want to upgrade and then restore. I think the reason for this had to do with an issue I experienced with an earlier build of the beta version. Apparently it was caused when the database was converted by the beta versio...

Re: Beta 3.3 version

Hert,

After installing build 2425 everything appears to be working correctly. Specifically, all location labels are writing the correct metadata to the correct places in the files and the detail profiles and mappings are all working as expected. Thank you!

Re: Beta 3.3 version

Hert, The location data is now being written correctly (not duplicated) to the iptc extension Location Shown and Location Created tags. However, there seems to have been some changes in the settings of the country labels. Mappings and detail profile settings seem to have been removed. My United Stat...

Re: Suggestions for filing dead people?

I'm afraid I'm too slow. By the time I finished typing my suggestions, Mike had already posted them. I will add one additional idea. There is also a "Person in the Image with Details" field where you could include information such as the fact that the person is deceased. I'm not sure if that is the ...

Re: How to purge labels from database?

However, I would note a limitation: the importer module does not support in one go the mirroring of source images (for backup purposes), followed by the subsequent importing of the source images. (Granted, such a scenario would not make sense if the so-called called "source images" are the original...

Re: Can't get versioning right (NEF+JPG of same filename)

So I did check out iMatch5, and I was able to confirm what I discovered several years ago: No support for custom metadata. For me, a show-stopper. Like most people, I would prefer to use a limited number of tools in my photo workflow. Good point, Phil. I think we would all like to limit the number ...

Re: Can't get versioning right (NEF+JPG of same filename)

Phil, I tend to agree with Mike. I don't think there is a very high probability that your proposed changes will be implemented in PSU any time soon. Not necessarily because of the way you are proposing them but rather because they would require some fairly major modifications to PSU's core functiona...

Re: Can't get versioning right (NEF+JPG of same filename)

For RAW and JPG files (as well as for any other supported format, such as DNG), the macro commands allow image files of different extensions to be independently renamed (see the optional ID parameter of %ImageNumber). Therefore, for image pairs or triplets to always be renamed consistently (by desi...
