[solved] Watermark - same size in portrait + lansdscape?

I'm using the batcher to add a 90° turned png-watermark to my pics. However, the size of the watermark changes with the orientation of the pictures, so that landscape orientated pics get a bigger watermark than portrait pics. Examples can be seen at http://www.refro.at/refroto/wp/?gallery=linzer-hoh...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

David, you should be able to do that by including that particular metadata field in the Dynamic search Hert, how can I add exif:CreateDate (or %ImagePhotoDate or "Descriptions>DateContentCreated") to the dynamic search? The fields don't take the focus hence I cant't use the space bar to add it to t...

Re: Dynamic Search on specific metadata fields

Not sure if it is of any help, but you can filter by macro command... Michael, macro commands - now that's sounds like I've learnt something new today.. Macro commands, are these just available variables? Would you mind giving us a few examples? Are the macro commnands documented/ listed somewhere?...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

Ok, so the behaviour of "search the catalog by date" of PSu needs getting used to and doesn't allow me to achiev my desired results... For some reasons Hert decided to take the search date from different metadata fields in a certain order. Even if this might have a use case - Hert, will you please t...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

You did? 1. Right click - Show More - From Version Set 2 Select All with Ctrl-A 3. Right click - Metadata - Read from File Hert, I selected each single picture inside the version set and reimported the version set - that should be equal to your suggestion, right? If I destroy the version set after ...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

The date in PSU us the date time created, if not available then date time original, else Exif base date, else date created else file date. (Off the top of my head) Jim, that's exact the way I understood Hert. PSu determines the date by looking at Hert's stated sequence. There's only one date which ...

Re: [reopened] Missing F-Stop / Aperture

Hert, reimporting the metadata doesn't change anything concerning the missing FNumbers - tried it with several pictures from different camera manufactures and different software outputs. BTW, I have a PSu catalog, no history with IDimager v5 versions.

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

Reimport the metadata and the date will be determined. Hert, I did a reimport from file. As I mentioned above, reimporting the metadata helped me only for single images, for pics not being grouped in a version set. For images stored together in a version set reimporting the metadata didn't change a...

Re: [solved] Missing F-Stop / Aperture

Hert, just one more question regarding the fnumber. From which xmp-field is PSu expecting to read the fnumber-value? xmp:exif? The xmp:tiff section from my postes example above does contain the fnumber: <rdf:Description rdf:about="" tiff:Make="NIKON" tiff:Model="COOLPIX P7100" xmlns:tiff="http://ns....

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

So it seems that the behaviour of PSu is incorrect then, because the "date time created" values all exist in above picture and are in all EXIF, IPTC and XMP fields correct as well. Still believe that it has something to do with ther version sets, since in my catalog only pictures placed in version s...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

The date used by the search is the date as stored in the database. This is the date as determined by my earlier reply. Hert, what I wanted to know which field of the details panel corresponds to "date time created"? Descriptions > Date Content Created? XMP Advanced > xap > Create Date? Or maybe it'...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - strange picture results

Hert please help,

to which metadata field in the catalog-db is the "catalog by date"-field bound?
Have a look at the first picture in the first post: catalog search date = 2013-01-27 although picture was created on 2012-12-31 - how can this be?

Re: Catalog search "by date" - question to "re-date"

Oh, now it gets a little bit clearer to me - when opening the redate-dialog the "change date to"-field is already predefined with the value from "date content created" :D That's exactly what I was asking for ("..why isn't there an entry "use date picture was taken" available in the choice list..") S...

Re: Catalog search "by date" - question to "re-date"

There was a recent topic that discusses this exact subject. Hert, I did a search for "redate" before, but didn't find anything, which helped me further.. Base date is the date in the first ifd. ifd :?: Please help me understanding this acronym - thanks. Update: IFD - if you're interested look here:...
