Re: database or disk full

I already run a few MySQL databases via WAMP. Would that work?

Re: database or disk full

Well, on my system the tweak definitely does NOT work. There is NOTHING being written to the temp folder after I applied this tweak. I watched the folder and even enabled "hidden files" and hit refresh several times during compact. So, the tweak simply doesn't work (at least not here). With the SQLi...

Re: database or disk full

Hi Hert, OK, I used the script to move the scratch folder to 'G:\PSu-scratch': PSu_move-scratch-disk.jpg Then I started the compact. But NOTHING is happening in 'G:\PSu-scratch'. INSTEAD there is a idimager.cat.db-journal file building inside the same folder where the catalog resides !!! It is NOT b...

Re: database or disk full

However, before I apply the tweak:
By moving the scratch folder off the SSD to a normal harddrive - will that not result in slower performance? The reason I have the database on the SSD was to speed things up...

Re: database or disk full

Ahhh, this is great. Didn't know it.
And yes, I have my database on the system drive, same drive as the Windows Temp folder, that's why I assumed it was always the same drive.

Re: database or disk full

This typically happens because the way PSu compacts the database is by creating a copy of the database file as a safety backup. Only if that is successful, will the original database be compacted and the temporary backup copies subsequently be deleted. Now, particularly the thumbnail databases can b...

Re: quick way to email?

I figured it out myself. You have to create an app password in Gmail:
Gmail_two-factor_app-password.jpg
Gmail_two-factor_app-password.jpg (66.43 KiB) Viewed 579 times
Works now. Great!
Thanks!

Re: quick way to email?

BTW - there is an old post from a while ago. Even when I turned two-way authentication off, I never managed to get things to work: https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=24083&p=111253&hilit=email+authentication#p111253 I wonder if any solution to this has been found by now... I really do n...

quick way to email with gmail?

Hi Hert, I always loved the idea of being able to quickly email photos from PSu, but never got "double authentication" in Gmail to work. I thought with all the new additions to PSu, I'd give this a try again, but still get this: Gmail-notworking.jpg Is there no way to get this to work without disabl...

video formats?

Probably a dumb questions, but does PSU natively recognize videos? Can I import and manage them in PSU just like image files? Many of my catalog labels are configured to write XMP to the images. If I assign those to the video files is there a risk the files might get corrupted? No idea if video file...

Re: Public Beta for Photo Supreme Online

Dear Hert et al., congratulations from me too. I'd just like to know a little bit more about the project. Introducing the beta you mention that The Web Service Module enables visitors to access your catalog, directly from an Internet Browser like Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, F...

Re: Reasons for using the Import Module?

I should have posted this here: Hert - I am using the import module of course! But I am not using it "straight from the memory card"... I typically shoot so many duplicates of lichens at slightly different settings (playing with the aperture for best depth-of-field) that I prefer sorting out the kee...
