Re: Problem importing video-files

I have now imported some mp4-videofiles. Import went fine. Opened assign-panel went fine. But when I opened Details-panel the program froze again (or what it is).

This file is 430 mb
Maybe I shouldn't use PSU for videos?

Re: Problem importing video-files

Thank you, I deleted the folder, so now I can move on.

(Maybe PSU didn't really freeze, but I was unable to do anything on the computer - including Alt+Ctr+Delete.)

Problem importing video-files

Hi I use PSU 2.0.3.1022 64 bits. I try to import a small number of video files into my catalog, but I have problems. When importing certain avi-files PSU freeze both the program and my computer, and I have to do a hard reset. Some of the avi-files are imported fine. 1. Is there a size limit for the ...

How do you work with metadata between versions?

I have recently converted from IDImager, and I am not very familiar with PhotoSupreme. I hope to get advices from more experienced users. In IDImager there is a function called "Cascade from selected image to the version set". It copies metadata - headline, description, copyright, keywords, rating a...

Re: Can't get labels into file

Thank you very much Hert, this was the solution! I can't say that I understand this 100 %, but I did as you described at a few labels, and now everything is in sync. It seems to have been some of the geographic labels that had the problem, but far from all. Maybe more will show up, but now I know wh...

Re: Can't get labels into file

It did happen to all the images I tested - when using the importer. But following your advice, deleting the options file and using the single file-import, most of the new images, I imported, worked. The existing problems are still the same though. I know it sounds strange. This is the address of the...

Re: Can't get labels into file

Wonderful news about the database!

I am sorry to say this: For most images in my test it works fine, for one it didn't work. And the original problematic files still won't work even if I import them this way.

It's very confusing for me. I hope it tells you something?

Re: back ups...

I had exactly the same experience when I tried to make a backup to my external hard drive. Finally I changed the backup location to a fixed hard drive, and it all worked fine.

Re: Can't get labels into file

0. Assuming that you still use a new options file I renamed the original options file as described. But PSU has not made a new one as far as I can see. 6. Sync the image Does this work? Yes, it worked! I tried two different files in different folders, and they both worked instantly. I have done alm...

Re: Can't get labels into file

In the screenshot, I notice that you have auto-sync switched ON. Can you try switching that OFF? Does right click -> Metadata -> Save Metadata to File work then? No. Also, the files are not read-only I assume? No. In addition, if this keeps failing; can you try to Read Metadata from File. Then try ...

Re: Can't get labels into file

Thank you for the suggestions. could it be that your storage media changed recently (new hard drive, new computer, etc). I did get a new computer this summer. But I haven't changed anything since I converted the IDImager database. Check if there are red top level nodes. No, the nodes are not red. 3....

Re: Can't get labels into file

I am still out in the dark here. I will appreciate ideas to how I search for the problem. Should I re-convert my database from IDImager? Should I reinstall Photo Supreme? Can I check the health of the database in some way (I already did compact it)? Other suggestions? Could it be a Windows issue? I ...
