Re: Versioning with new documentation

Thanks for your help. That's true. It has to do with it. With "Always together as a Set", the main version is always displayed in Dynamic Search. But I have every version in a folder. When I click the folder in Folders I always see the main version. That's why I set “As a Set in Category” (default)....

Re: Versioning with new documentation

If I only search for version sets, the result is correct. But when I add a parameter, all the placeholders come back. That's not correct. Or am I wrong? hc_259.png hc_260.png Exklude finds "No Versions". That's true. I need all Includes or Excludes in Dynamic Search. When I first turn the Dynamic S...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

@Hert. What do you think? This is a user forum. Why address only me, instead of other users. They may have better input than I have Okay. Version -> Version Sets gives you all main versions. If I only search for version sets, the result is correct. But when I add a parameter, all the placeholders c...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

About keeping ratings and color labels the same for the entire version set; find a tweak here: http://www.michaelweidner.com/WP/psu/ At first I didn't know how to use it. But I just have to copy the commands into the scripter and start it once. Cool ... Why isn't there an option in the settings? Ah...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

I have now installed build 2858. The problems are solved. Versioning with spaces in the file name also works. Even when importing. I'm excited. 😊 But I still have two problems. When I do a dynamic search, all versions are shown. Not in the version set. That is confusing. I can activate the filter "F...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

I installed the last build. Thank you. Then I destroyed the versions from 2019 and made them new with the new settings. It took a while but it worked. Then I imported two new folders. The process got stuck. Sometimes no preview pictures were created: hc_217.png If I click on any other folder this wi...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

Personally I would opt to re-detect the version sets with your new settings to re-install your HD placeholder. I would like to do that but my old inventory has spaces in the file name. We have already found that no placeholders are found. If I rename the file names with a program on Windows, does t...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

This could help https://repository.idimager.com/openresource.asp?GUID=265D06FA4B494A66B8340DDCAD200E58 All right. I would do this solution. I did tests with some version sets. The exchange of the placeholders works. Album display -> Main version Album display -> RAW But I always lose the HD placeho...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

In your settings you have 'Main version detection method' set to 'First RAW else JPG' - you need to change it. Thanks for the tip. In 'Main version detection method' I set 'Custom File Mask' %FileName.jpg. Then my album display is the main version. My catalog has been converted by IDImager. IDImage...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

I noticed that spaces in the file name indeed do matter for file name mask matching. What does that mean? Will the bug be corrected? I come from IDImager and always have the RAW file as the main version. When I move through the catalog in PSU (categories, portfolios, etc.), the RAW file is always d...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

Spaces matter. This is 100% reproducible. I am using Windows 10. I managed to rename the file names without spaces. The placeholder assignment works with the context menu. I come from IDImager and always have the RAW file as the main version. When I move through the catalog in PSU (categories, portf...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

Select only the RAW file (main version)? I have selected all files. That's how it worked with IDImager. Anyway. I have a new test setup: hc_204.png 2 sets without spaces in the file name. 1 set with spaces in the file name. The RAW file selects context menu -> Versions -> Version Detection. All plac...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

@Hert
Sorry to ask again. Is the placeholder set automatically for you? If so, what could I do wrong?

Thanks for the support.

Re: Versioning with new documentation

It seems to work better via the context menu. All versions are found. hc_193.png But the placeholders are not set. I need it, for example, if I am looking for photos and only want to display the WEB version. hc_194.png @Hert Are the placeholders set automatically for you? Am I doing something wrong?...

Re: Versioning with new documentation

I've tried it so many times. It does not work for me.
I also made a new catalog. My old catalog is a conversion from IDIMAGER. But it doesn't work with the new catalog either.

@Hert
Can you give me your exact settings? Then I try it the same way.
What else can I do?

Thanks for the support.
