MacBook Pro M1 After Installing the V6 over the V5 I start PSu and click for updating the Database (around 100k images). After 30 Minutes I shut down psu because in the activity monitor its red marked, the app don't answer. I start psu again. A prompt tells me, the a process is currently updating......

If I install V6 I want to uninstall V5 before.
Is it enough to move the app from the application folder into the trash or have I to do more steps for a clean uninstall?

If the database is already on the external drive then don't copy it of course. In that case change the TEMP folder for your OS if you think there's not enough space in the temp folder. That's not different on macOS. Specify a folder on your system to use as the temp dir. Obviously it is different. Or I did something wrong. Thank you, but I’m on Mac and the solution seems to be for windows.

During I compact my catalog which is on an external drive, the internal drive looses capacity around the gb of the catalog.
Is it possible to generate the temporary files there where the catalog is?
