Re: Stacking in V5 Criteria ?

Plus one for a quickstart pdf on stacking. I'm playing with it at the moment and can't quite get my head around how it works. For example, is there a way to change the order of the stack so that a particular one is always on top? I photograph a lot of artwork in different sizes and ratios, so there ...

Rename catalogue

Probably an elementary question but I would like to rename my main catalogue. Is it simple? Thanks.

Re: Scanned transparencies

Thanks so much Harald! That's really great information! Now the only thing I need help with is how to file the scans (because with me everything is currently filed in date order by folder (yyyy/mm). Having changed the date, do I need to export and re-import the scan in order for it to be filed in da...

Re: Scanned transparencies

Thanks Snowman1 but I am also interested in the philosophical aspect! It would be good to be able to be approximate, and say 'Around 1976' or even 'Sometime in the 1970s' and I suppose that could be done in a comments field, but that still leaves the issue of which date to give them.

Re: Scanned transparencies

Thanks for that - yes, that works, but I normally import my files using the YYYY/MM/DD format which neatly files everything in folders by date, so I guess I will need to re-import with the new time stamp?

Scanned transparencies

Hi all - I've been using PSu for a few weeks now, and the more I use it, the more brilliant I think it is! Of course, it's not perfect, but it does so much more than all the other DAM software I've tried that I'm liking it more and more. I'm gradually importing all of my digital photos into the data...

Re: Versioning on import

Hi Hert - thanks for responding. I think you're right - the solution is to set the camera to shoot RAW+JPG and create the version set on import. I'm shooting RAF (Fuji RAW).

Versioning on import

I'm not sure if I'm asking for something impossible here or if it's easy as pie and I don't know how to do it. :) I've set my camera to take RAW and now I want to import into PSu. I'm just doing one test photo at the moment. Is it possible on import to create a high quality jpg automatically and to ...

Re: External editor with PSu edits?

Thanks Snowman1 - In that case I think I need to work on my workflow and start doing all of the editing in Affinity Photo. Exporting to a folder, then editing in AP wouldn't really work as I'd then need to reimport to PSu.

Interesting re the 'nuisance behaviours'! Thanks.

External editor with PSu edits?

Hi - I'm using PSu to do some basic editing such as cropping and some colour correction etc but occasionally I need to do more and for this I'm using Affinity Photo. However, after I've completed some edits in PSu and then open the image in AP, the image opens without the existing edits. In Lightroo...

Re: Another newbie question

My filenames are unique - number-yyyymmdd, so shouldn't be an issue. I've been experimenting and if I take a RAW (RAF) photo and import it into PSu, then save as a TIF, I can then make the round trip to Affinity Photo without any problems. But having used PSu for basic editing, it may be sufficient ...
