Re: Can't access v6 database after uninstalling v5

Thank you, Hert, for your quick and fine customer support. I downloaded that latest build and installed it, and it did, indeed, solve the problem. I really appreciate it! -- Carl

Can't access v6 database after uninstalling v5

I installed V6 and upgraded the database. Everything appeared to be working fine. I then uninstalled v5. Now, every time I try to start v6 it asks me if I want to update the database. If I say yes, it is says "The database reports: Something went wrong while upgrading your SQLite Catalog towards ver...

Google Map Lookup Not Working

I had not used the Google Map lookup in PSU for awhile. When I tried to do so today, it would not return any coordinates for any location I entered. I checked and my Google API is still entered in PSU in the appropriate place in Preferences. Any idea what the problem could be? The last time I tried ...

Paid for V4 Upgrade but no download in User Control Panel

I just purchased the upgrade to V4, but when I go to the User Control Panel my V4 registration status is not recognized, and all I see is download links for V3. Can you help, Hert?

Thanks.

It's a moot point now, Harald.

Re: Upgrade Windows and the C-drive

Harald, I'm using PSU 3.3.0.2558, which I believe is the latest version. I did have one more hiccup just after I posted my last message. I went to upload another batch to SM and saw the same problem as before -- all sorts of repetitive "ghost" galleries and folders. However, this time I did not dele...

Re: Upgrade Windows and the C-drive

Update: I just deleted and reauthorized my SM credentials within PSU, and now everything seems to be working fine. I'm not sure why I had to do that, but alls well that ends well! :-)

Re: Upgrade Windows and the C-drive

. . . Actually I do have an issue with the connection to SmugMug and one of these day I will raise a ticket in Mantis. Apart from that PSU is plain sailing. . . . I wonder what your problem with the SmugMug upload is. Since the most recent update, I have a problem. I can't upload to SmugMug at all ...

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

Hert, I did have one other anomaly that cleared up once I did the OS refresh (Win10-64). I had an amateur radio logging program that would not install. I kept getting a message that an msi file couldn't be found in the /AppData/Local/Temp folder. Once I did the OS refresh, I was able to install this...

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

OK. I've finally got it working. There was nothing wrong with the database file, per se. However, I had to do a refresh of my OS to get it to work. I still have no idea what caused the problem to appear "out of the blue."

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

P.S. I have done a search on the error message and not gotten any real helpful information. As I said, I'm beginning to think the error message is not identifying the correct problem but is only a symptom of the problem. I've now tried to open yet a third old catalog on yet another drive. Same error...

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

One further question: The only program that was added between the time PSU last worked and now is SOS Online Backup. Are there any known incompatibilities between PSU and/or SQLITE and this backup program?

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

This is strange. I've checked all the permissions and changed ownership of the drive in question and all folders and subfolders but the problems persists. I also looked at the system temp folder and found nothing out of the ordinary there. I deleted all files not being currently used in that folder....

Re: SQLITE_ERROR - not a writeable directory

Disk is not anywhere near full. I'm checking on permissions, and have not found any problems yet. All my other software that access that disk that I've tried so far are not reporting any problems. I'm going to check more on the permission thing as that can be kind of tricky. Why the permissions woul...
