Re: Compacting thumbnail database takes a long time
Hi all I can confirm that database compacting process has slowed down significantly on my installation too, since I yesterday upgraded to version 5.3.0.2593. The databases are stored locally on a 1 TB SSD (idimager.cat.db=3.2 GB and idimager.thumbs.db=34.7 GB). Images are stores locally on a convent...

Re: Facial Recognition Instructions
Hi paulrbarnard Thanks for sharing this info! It sounds very interesting, and I am certainly considering Tag That Photo now... :-) You explain that the name tags applied by Tag That Photo fits well into the Label structure, you use in Photo Supreme. Can I ask, do you have "sub categories" within the...

Re: Display on Map - Error Message
Problem is solved:
Google recommend adding "API restrictions", and I learned, that it means that each API need to be enabled - which I've now done, and now Display ON Map works. (Getting to know Googles Cloud services here)
Thanks!

Display on Map - Error Message
Hi all After upgrading to V5 and setting up an API Key the AI functionalities, including Objects and Landmark identification, work fine. However, since I did the API Key thing, the PSu feature “Display on Map” (available when right-clicking a thumbnail) returns an error message. It’s like it - in th...

Migrate to new computer - images "not recegonised"
Hi all Last night I migrated my Photo Supreme data bases and 103,000 images from my old computer to a new one (located a the same physical path [D:\Photo\...]) . The new installation of PSu accepted the database files and all images are available and can be opened etc. Thus I thought all was good, a...

Re: Windows 10 compatability
Thanks, Michael, for the first hand experience report.
As Photo Supreme is *the* most important application on my desktop PC, I'm a bit reluctant upgrading as part of first wave.
Please keep us updated in case you experience issues in PSu related to Win10.
Kind regards
Michael

Is the current version (ver. 3.1.1.2070) of Photo Supreme compatible with the Windows 10 version being rolled out by Microsoft these days?

Re: Cascade metadata from RAW to Main version
Hi Hert. Back from Canada and now on to work with a pile of images... :? I've now tried the scripet you suggested. The parameters to be set in the top of the scripe I've used: cExtension = '.CR2'; cPlaceHolderName = 'RAW'; cRemoveExistingPlaceholders = 1; // 1 = yes, 0 = no cCascadeAfterwards = 1; /...
