Re: Facial recognition: a new option

So when I "read metadata from file" inside PSU I have my picture labelled and tagged within PSU.
Could you specify which field in PSU, you could see people names displayed?

Thanks

Re: Red folders

It clicked!!

Had to map folder to common shared folder.

If I did so on Windows workstation, while server was a Mac, Server folders would become red.
But now, since workstation and server are Windows, both folders are gray, because both have same file structure.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Red folders

1) I presume, from your answer that, yes, folders should be gray. 2) I have both, server and workstation side by side on isolated subnet. PSU newly installed on workstation displayed all categories, and all folders, but these in red. If I modify one asset, instantly, it shows to be out of synch on s...

Red folders

Using PSU server version for Windows, on server as well as on workstation.
Folders on workstation show RED.
When using Macs, folders were gray on Mac server and Mac workstation and assets would synch on the fly.

Can this be done on server and workstation both using windows?

Thanks.

PostgreSQL versus Microsoft SQL Server

Any one has experience as to which performs better on Windows Platform: PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server. Facing heavy latency on Server running Windows, OS as well as Photos on SSDs. My only satisfying experience so far was with Macpro. Surprisingly, this High performance server is unable to outp...

Windows / Postgresql

Using PSU with Macpro since I started with it. Just about to migrate to Windows installation as server, PostgreSQL. Behaviour is different. Wondering if users running PSU server/Windows combination have same experience. On Mac, If a keyword if added or removed to some photos, status bar will show fi...

Postgresql not starting

I messed up the database and had to restore with Timemachine. ( I am using a Macpro 2009). I backup up to the day I know everything was working fine. Now, Postgres10 doesn't start. I uploaded the log file. At one point a message made me stop, it said I could loose the database. Would anyone know how...

Re: Catalog Migration

This is how I proceeded based on my understanding of proposed method. 1- I backup up database with following command: pg_dump -U {user-name} {source_db} -f {dumpfilename.sql} pg_dump -U postgres photosupreme -f photosupreme.sql I suppose this backed up photosupreme and photosupreme_thumbs database a...

Re: Catalog Migration

Makes sens. Since I backed up using dumpall command, and now restoring to a specific database name, it's as if I am trying to include all postgres databases from source machine to a single database on destination machine. Backup: $ pg_dump -U {user-name} {source_db} -f {dumpfilename.sql} Restore: $ ...

Re: Catalog Migration

Thanks Hert! I want to simulate migrating the catalog. I am using VMs on which I tested PhotoSupreme. OS are Windows for server as well as for workstation. A first for me. As of now, server is operating on a Macpro. With checkpoints on VMs, testing is easy and quick. At any point in time we can make...
