Re: Catalog Migration

This is how I proceeded based on my understanding of proposed method. 1- I backup up database with following command: pg_dump -U {user-name} {source_db} -f {dumpfilename.sql} pg_dump -U postgres photosupreme -f photosupreme.sql I suppose this backed up photosupreme and photosupreme_thumbs database a...

Re: Catalog Migration

Makes sens. Since I backed up using dumpall command, and now restoring to a specific database name, it's as if I am trying to include all postgres databases from source machine to a single database on destination machine. Backup: $ pg_dump -U {user-name} {source_db} -f {dumpfilename.sql} Restore: $ ...

Re: Catalog Migration

Thanks Hert! I want to simulate migrating the catalog. I am using VMs on which I tested PhotoSupreme. OS are Windows for server as well as for workstation. A first for me. As of now, server is operating on a Macpro. With checkpoints on VMs, testing is easy and quick. At any point in time we can make...

Catalog Migration

Soon, I'll be migrating my catalog from a Macpro to a HP Dl380. Is there a tool for such operation? I answered this question myself after trying different methods. There might be a better way, but here's how I ended up doing it my way. Might be helpful anyhow. 1) First I used the Catalog Database Re...

Re: PGADMIN 4

I could have deleted previous post, but it might be useful to someone, some day. Installation was make upon Windows Server 2019 Desktop Experience, on a VM in Hyper-V 2019. So far this version is very stable, but when it comes to Postgres, it requires deeper configurations. I backed out of it and tr...

1 gbps

I was asked today if PSU would actually work fluedly on a 1 gbps network, over a cat5e cable? Lets word it otherwise. On an ideal network system where server would be an HPE Dl-380, Switch an Aruba 5406r (idealy programmed by experimented IT) and storage a san Hpe MAS 2050 loaded with Ssd drives (no...

Re: Frequent freezes while doing folder management - Mac

I had lots of freezing behaviour with Macpro 2009 until I upgraded from 32gb ram to 128gb. One day I saw all 32gb used up! I may have gone overboard, but it shows how fed up I was. Since I increased memory, PSU quit sending error messages. When PSU isn't responding, I know operation is undergoing in...

Re: [resolved] Backup problems PostgreSQL 10

It is working for me as well.
Hadn't been able to do a backup from within PSU since November.
Now it is running fine.
Thanks Hert!

Postgres - Linux SUSE

Installing new server.

Could PSU run with Postgresql in Linux, SUSE version?

I see Postgres conf file may be edited as in Windows or Mac.

Would it be sufficient to be compatible?

Doesn't seem to address my issue: "Oops something went wrong..." Google map message. About the script and build 1872. Tried it and nothing seems to happen. Back to basic questions to find out if I am doing the wrong thing: 1) Is suggest registry fix script already included in build 1872. Still have ...
