Re: Why XMP-Files for Sony ARW?

When writing to NEF, NRW, ORF, CR2 and PEF is allowed, why not ARW. AFAIK is ARW also TIFF-based like the others. In general I am against XMP-files because the information is not stored in the original file and so informations are lost if you move the files. I've found no problems with interchangeab...

Why XMP-Files for Sony ARW?

Hello, does anybody know why PSU creates xmp-files for Sony-arw-files? These files are from a Sony RX10 MK IV. When I want to write "Köln" into the city-field, it always creates a xmp-file, this doesn't happen for Canon-cr2-files. AFAIK is the ARW-file-format also based on TIFF like the CR2-files. I...

Re: this place can't load Google maps...?

I would also like to have the option to choose. In GraphicConverter you can choose between openstreetmap and Geonames.

Re: Why Photo Supreme isn't 'ready-for-prime-time' [OPINION]

Hello, I think also, that Henry had the wrong expectations using it as an RAW-converter. What Frank wrote: Photo Supreme on the other hand is primarily a cataloging software with extremely powerful metadata management options. Reading your criticism it seems you have not even "scratched the hood" ye...

Re: Several keywords for different labels

One little tip for assigning "People:Jim" and "People:Tom" in one step: create a label set with "People:Jim" and "People:Tom" inside, in the row of the label set you find a "hamburger" menu on the right side and there you can revoke and assign the complete label set in one step. Maybe Hert can progr...

Re: Several keywords for different labels

The "ONLY" criteria would be a wonderfull enhancement. Maybe in the form of "ONLY(argument1 AND/OR argument2 AND/OR argument3 AND/OR...)"

Than you can search for more the 2 persons or other labels.

@tplunkett: please make a suggestion in MANTIS and you get my support.

Re: Several keywords for different labels

Hello, it works. I dragged the pictures from "People:Tom" and "People:Jim" into the dynamic search and then use the filter and it worked. But you will also find pictures with other people and I think you have excluded the rest of "People". That will only work if you have all pictures with people in ...

Re: Several keywords for different labels

I've printed out the help-files for easier access, but my question isn't answered there. How do I define "Jim+Tom-everybody" even, if there are other people in the picture which are not defined in "People"? I don't want a picture in the calender with Jim and Tom standing between other people for exa...

Re: Several keywords for different labels

If I have labeled all pictures, where Tom is seen, with "People:Tom" and all which show Jim with "People:Jim", how can I find the pictures, on which Tom and Jim are shown with nobody else (remember your wife asking for pictures of your children for the grandparents for example). I did it in Aperture...

Re: Easiest way to select all pictures

Hello Hert, I've read the Searching Quick Manual but didn't find a solution. Maybe my way of searching is wrong but it's the way I used the smart albums in Apple Aperture. There you select the different rules/filters and choose "Library" and the entire library will be searched. An example: if I have...
