Re: Use custom metadata not registered by PSu?

I would like to be able to display bitrate, framerate, codec, custom gamma, camera name etc. I tried to attached a short clip and some different metadata/exif dumped files but as the file size is very restricted I had to trim it with avconvert. The metadata is slight altered but not much. I hope it ...

Use custom metadata not registered by PSu?

I would like to use custom metadata tags from some images and video which I'm only able to pull out from the files using exiftool and not exif data via PSu.
Is it possible to do this some how?
I want to avoid calling exiftool as much as I do to speed things up and reduce the performance hits.

Re: compression very lenthy

@Hert
I have autovacuum setup and do reindexing by script for my postgres 12.
Does PSu notice that or does it have its own timer for reminders?

Re: Video Sequences

I’ve done imports of cinemadng raw files and even though they are individual dng files (tiff more or less) PSu can present them as Stacks. So a five minute clip shot in cinema dng will/can be presented as a stack of 1800 images. It would be very nice if PSu could detect a sequence of images in a fol...

Re: Admin license currently in use ...

Ok I get a clearer picture of this now. The notice the admin get is to wait 5 minutes but waiting 10 minutes is not enough. If 15 is the time out then a little text correction is needed. :) My sudden locked out - if we disregard the 5/15 minute matter - might have been relayed to my test databases w...

Re: Admin license currently in use ...

I suffered from this locked out bug today when I was trying to do some migration testing -but I'm not sure if it was at work or at home. At work, I downloaded the linked trial version from the website, received demo expired and at home I was running 2692. I had to play around with my licenses but I'...

Re: Thumbnail quality

I've tried refreshing and it do not work as expected. On my MBP 2015 - If I toggle PSu between being front application is get nicely rendered thumbnails but if PSu is not frontmost application the thumbs gets very pixelated. On my Mac mini with an eGPU it looks like it's more or less always pixelate...

Thumbnail quality

My thumbnails do not look as good as they should imo and I wonder if there's a way I can get them less blocky. Previews are looking great at 2560 and 90% but I really would like the thumbs to look decent as well. Rebuilding them do not make them better. Is there a way to force a better setting? I'm ...

Add -api largefilesupport=1 to repo scripts

Would it be possible to add the tag

Code: Select all

-api largefilesupport=1
to the current repository metadata scripts for exiftool so that it handles large movie files correctly?

Re: Extract and show video recording date

That looks like they parse and present different file time data.

Use exiftool to output all data from the file and then you can see who parses which time value.

Re: "Waste" of space in the User Interface, especially left vertical bar (Windows)

Hello there and welcome. Yes, some of the UI appears to be unnecessary spacious. - The left vertical space is here to stay according to Hert. I guess he has plans for the rest of it although not yet populated. - The blue horizontal space you have marked is actually the Quick Launch are. But you have...

Re: Extract and show video recording date

There’s many different datetime in EXIF.

DateTime
DateTimeDigitized
DateTimeOriginal
And
TimeZoneOffset

Does the hour correlate with GMT and time zone offset?
Does the minute/seconds differences correlate to movie run length in seconds?

Re: Extract and show video recording date

In the top right corner: Click View View Settings Select Custom Thumbnail Info And then you can try different output to be displayed below your movies. If you want everything to be extracted. Right click a movie Run script from repository Meta data Full Exif dump (or Exiftool metadata output) I beli...
