Thank you for clearing that up! I wondered about that because looking at the xmp files with Notepad, it was clear that the description was indeed inserted.

How to save detail profile edits
Having difficulty making changes to Detail Profile. When I look at my detail profile, I see that Description is set to no changes. If I create a description using the Detail panel, I would like to be saved to the database and the image file. I try to edit the Detail file by changing the setting to "...

Re: Metadata migration
Ah... Thanks Hert for clearing that up! I was aware of the need to stay with one metadata editor, and I have always maintained PSu as the boss. Even when I was using Lightroom, I always went back to Idimager/PSU to make metadata changes. I was wondering if I had made a wrong setting in Preferences t...

Re: Metadata migration
Thanks Hert. A few more tests this morning. I "Shared" a RAW image to the desktop. A resized it to 800x600, and made sure all metadata was included in the jpg. Examined this jpg in exiftool. This time the PSu Creator and Copyright showed up in the metadata. Opened the PSu created jpg in PL4 - and th...

Metadata migration
Long time user of Photo Supreme as my go to Metadata editor. I import, label and fill in many fields with my name copyright etc. Works great! My RAW editor of choice has been DxO's Photolab for the last few years and I like it very much. One of the compatibility problems with it though, is it has it...

PSU 5 v2607 Prompts for catalog on startup
I've been playing with a catalog on a thumb drive to view images from my Desktop. Some time in the last day or so, I appear to have changed the default catalog on startup. Every time I start PSu I'm prompted for catalog, username and password. A simple click ok, but I would rather the default catalo...

Re: V5 upgrade - Verify Folder now returns "Import Data from File"
Hmmm I appear to be getting the same behaviour... In a folder of 7 images, each with their own xmp, dop and occasional jpg where I have created a version, Verify lists the missing files... on Import all my images are renamed: date_camera_original filename... When I run verify folder, missing files a...

Re: What method to show added files to the drive ?
I've never expected PSu to detect an added image to a drive/folder etc... I always use the import process to add images to the Catalog. I have two import profiles - The first has a detailed profile to import images from an SD card that copies and renames images to my structured catalog, and applies ...

Re: PSU v4: Import does not finish
Hi Martin Yes. I share exactly the same problem too... I wonder if there is a connection to our Import Profiles issue. The import process proceeds fine, but the Process Activity tab remains open, showing a single activity saying it is loading the import profile and it just sits there. I open a windo...

Re: PSU v4: Profiles menu not readable
Yep. I have the same problem, and raised it some time ago. Windows 10, 1920x1080 resolution. Core2 processor, 4gb memory... Yesterday I tried to tackle it in earnest. I tried a couple of approaches... First I changed my screen resolution to 1440x900. No change. Then I uninstalled PSU4, downloaded a ...

Import profile dialog truncated.
For some reason, when I try to select an import profile, the dialog drops down and is too narrow to show the profile names... See attached... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling PS4, but it came up with the same result. Windows 10 64 ver 16299-309, Intel Core 2, AMD Radeon R7 240 display. I am usi...
