Re: Selective Metadata Update From File

Sorry, lots of things going on right now and I had to strip out some of the data. Keep in mind that this is a quick script. I wont promise that this will run out of the box... but you can see how ExifTools is called: Option Explicit Const EXIFTool = "E:\exiftool.exe" Sub ExportSlidesWithMetadata() D...

Re: Selective Metadata Update From File

Well, there's a reason I didn't think of that... it's too simple! Got it working, thanks! Just for anyone reading this later: + Save metadata to photo in PSU + Update the specific metadata fields via external script + Synchronise Metadata from file + (Just being careful) Synchronize metadata to file...

Selective Metadata Update From File

I have a bunch of powerpoint slideshows with pictures. I wrote a VBA routine to export the slides as pictures and then write slide metadata to the exported picture using ExifTools. I imported them into PSU and have started tagging the images. Then I realized that the descriptions were messed up (had...

Re: Recently used and Suggested labels.

Yeah, I remember bringing this up before too (or commenting on someone's post). Agreed that this makes labeling slower and annoying.

+1

Another possible fix would be to apply the label as soon as the click occurs... the problem is that there is processing in between the click and assignment.

Re: Workflow status for categories

I've often wanted a way to mark portfolios, similar to the color scheme... or some other marking system. I often ingest photos and put them into portfolios before tagging/captioning. I would love to be able to mark the portfolios with current state. This is more similar to folders than using tags.

Re: Lagging while updating portfolio contents icons

Installed 3374 and now, after waiting for all the thumbnails to populate, the first scroll goes much farther down the screen than it did before. But I still have to wait while all folders' thumbnails populate before I can scroll again. Further, it seems like scrolling once all folders thumbnails hav...

Re: Lagging while updating portfolio contents icons

Just installed 3361 and, while there is a difference, the scrolling still freezes while the folder objects populate the thumbnails. And now, even once all folders have been populated, scrolling a portfolio of >60 collections is very jerky.

Re: Lagging while updating portfolio contents icons

Created all thumbnails and it still will not scroll while populating folder contents. It feels like it just locks out the scrollwheel until all folders on the screen are finished loading. The only major change I can think of from my end is that I recently moved my catalog from a HDD to an SDD (on lo...

Create sibling portfolio?

I have a large list of sub-collections and was wondering if I could create a sibling collection without having to scroll all the way up to the parent portfolio and create a sub-collection. I realize I could create a sub-collection for a collection in view and then move it out later... just seems ine...

Lagging while updating portfolio contents icons

Hert, I thought I remembered being able to scroll a portfolio while sub-collection icons loaded (they would just be colored squares). Now, 5.6.0.3337, I have to wait for all collections in view to have their icons loaded, scroll a little bit, wait again, scroll a little, wait, etc. Is there any way ...

Re: Sync with Cloud Service Right-Click Menu Customization?

Yeah... I was hoping to reduce the number of clicks. As it is I'm looking for new self-hosting that integrates with Photo Supreme so I can use more features within Photo Supreme. Using the computer's folder structure means I have a separate copy of pictures that I have to go back and delete. Also, t...

Sync with Cloud Service Right-Click Menu Customization?

I have two entries when I right-click on a portfolio collection: sync via copy to folder and my flickr account. I just added an FTP sync profile... how do I get it to appear in the right-click menu?

Re: Public Beta for Photo Supreme Online

Hert, So this bundles its own web server? Are there any plans on releasing a version that allows you to use an existing webserver? For example, I have a webserver running Apache 2.4 and PHP 7.3. I dont need the Windows and extra webserver overhead. The other thing that would be interesting is a dock...

Re: what writes or reads PSU for the facial areas - I'm slowly despairing

Ralf, thanks for working with TTP and Hert to bring these two awesome programs into (hopefully) better alignment! I had noticed a couple metadata quirks and so have not been using TTP, while looking at it longingly! I fully support any amount of awareness/integration between these two programs... it...

Re: Public Beta for Photo Supreme Online

This looks really exciting! I've long desired a way to allow others to help me manage my photos. I know that exists already, but this is lighter weight. Depending on how this is implemented, it could sway me to the server edition. A couple questions: Will there be any way to run this from a Synology...
