Re: Rogue Keywords are added from IPTC Data
Its possible that if the same data is used in multiple fields then deleting it from just the IPTC fields alone won't delete it from the other Geo Location and hence when this gets re-written it copies it back into the IPTC data fields again from other areas that use the same data. Its not something ...

Re: Rogue Keywords are added from IPTC Data
OK, well select the Details pane, choose to display IPTC data (top right menu choice). Select some images to test, then create a profile to clear the relevant fields, save and test. If all is correct then apply the profile to all the images you want to clear the IPTC data for.

Re: Rogue Keywords are added from IPTC Data
Maybe there appearing from the Geo Tag operations ? The fields are typical of the fields that would appear after a Lat/Long from GPS etc. are used to Geo Locate an image.

Re: geotagging from a GPX file
Works for me, my e-bike camera has time but no GPS, so I download the GPX file from my phone which has GPX data.
I select the pictures to have GPS data added, load the GPX track file and make sure time/date matches the images, then the icon "GPX Track" will appear on the bottom line of the GPS pane ...

Re: Continuing the thubnail building for 1 files
Might be worth checking "States|From repository|Possible corruption", if there are any I delete from database and then scan and import missing files, usually fixes the problem.

Re: DNG import failed
Have you tried running a "Catalogue|Compact" on the thumbnail database ? Perhaps also perhaps a "Tools|Build missing Thumbnails and previews" ?
Also a restart of the program sometimes sorts oddities like this out?

In the Preferences|Catalog settings, you can change the Size and Compression used on the previews to suit needs. I'm currently on 1440 pixels and 85% compression.

Re: “Continuing the import for 63 files” won’t go away!
Can agree about the TIF files I have had a couple of old TIF files cause exactly these problems including the removal of compression to overcome the problem. In my case the files were from scanned images many years ago no idea what drivers were in use at the time.

Re: Metadata not saved to many jpg files
You may find that until you close Windows Explorer, it keeps the file open for Write and hence blocks other programs trying to access the file.

Re: Question about People label metadata
Don't think your missing anything, it was the fact that you said you selected the "details" pane, I was thinking of the "Details pane" that appears on the right-hand side, but your referring to the details section for the Labels. I don't often have any reason to change the configuration "details ...

Re: Question about People label metadata
Seems to work as expected here, but without details of programme version, OS your using etc. its difficult to know if my system is comparable with yours. I simply assign a person label to the image and an entry appears under "IPTC Extension / Person in the image" fields.

Re: Transfer catalog label to another image?
I guess it depends a lot on your workflow, over many years we all develop various processes, some would seem convoluted and not use all the facilities that PSU offers but rather hang-overs from previous systems and the needs for mobile working if relevant.

Turn on the Labels panel, select an Image that has all the required Labels already, then click on the little "down arrow" beside the search button top left of the Labels Panel;
