Re: Transfer catalog label to another image?
I guess it depends a lot on your workflow, over many years we all develop various processes, some would seem convoluted and not use all the facilities that PSU offers but rather hang-overs from previous systems and the needs for mobile working if relevant. I make use of "Import Folder" (to...

Re: Transfer catalog label to another image?
Turn on the Labels panel, select an Image that has all the required Labels already, then click on the little "down arrow" beside the search button top left of the Labels Panel; Screenshot 2024-10-23 111339.jpg "Copy all the assigned labels to clipboard," now go to the Images you ...

Re: Constant CPU utilization at times
Has the system compacted the database at all, normally once a large number of changes have been made it will prompt you at startup to do a compacting, not sure if it already has a queue of sync's to complete ? Possibly worth doing one from the menu whatever to see if it improves the situation?

Re: browsing files before importing
The Catalogue can't know what is on the card until it has imported them. Then you could inspect and delete those not required, before labelling them etc. Otherwise the only way you can see what is on the card before importing them is to open an Explorer window to view them ?

Would be an interesting exercise, my best to date is to use Batch mode and add a Border and a Caption with relevant info from the Metadata to the image itself.

Re: I Need Advice on Organizing Large Photo Collection with Photo Supreme
Think you will find as many different opinions as there are answers ;-) I use a Year/Month/YYYYMMDD format for storage of images, but then also have events organised under just YYYY/MM/Event/ below these are some other divisions that suit the event etc. However that is usually the simplest part! The...

Re: Any way of blocking PS when opening looking at all the drives on pc
Running under Win 11 I have 3 local drives (1 dedicated to images) and 6 LAN (and old CAT3 wiring) connected drives to a variety of machines all running Win7, Win10 and even Win2003. It takes 2 seconds to initiate the Logon screen and a further 6 seconds to bring up the full screen, then another cou...

Not quite sure why you continue to use the product as you don't seem to find the support and features to your liking!
Surely these are the sort of things you find out during the free evaluation, 30 day period!

Re: **resolved** Win 11 Pro and PSU: Extremely slow start (Single User Version)
No its all on the same network with shares between all the machines so that all the drives (or a lot of them) are instantly available as drive letters. Doesn't seem to make any difference when I'm away from the LAN without the shares being available, the start up times remain the same.

Re: **resolved** Win 11 Pro and PSU: Extremely slow start (Single User Version)
Odd behaviour, I have 4 machines here on the network, but don't seem to suffer this problem despite all having links to this laptop only the server machine has images that PSU knows about other than on its own drives, but never have this problem?

Thanks Hert! I see you have removed the extra instant Verify when you set it up for a scheduled Verify on Close

Re: Suggestion for autoclose?
I like the idea, but it does mean that if there are any actions that need carrying out, say after Verifying, then the close won't happen only to be found perhaps the next morning?
But in general yes perhaps an extension the the Scheduled Verify options with Compact and Backup would be sufficient?
