Re: Temporary XMP files not delteted

OK well only found two they are of the form;
20201120113936_VD_00005.xmp._ori_683E53AE0E6747DDAC500F7FE4C8668B.xmp

So a search *_ori_*.xmp finds them how ever they were for me from 6 days ago so no chance of remembering what was happening!
I will however keep an eye open for them in the future.

Re: Temporary XMP files not delteted

Not sure I can reproduce them Hert, I came across them by chance, the best thing I can do is note the date & time of the files and try to remember what happened at that time.

Re: Temporary XMP files not delteted

Yes I have come across them, normally just deleted them as it was clear that they had been left over for some odd reason, at some point I'll search the entire drive for any others remaining.

Re: people from TTP

Think that might a fairly new switch, I don't recall seeing that before! Thanks for mentioning it, I've turned mine on. I notice that when you do it also pops up a new entry on that page to enable updating all the images.

Re: Google AI - spectacularly bad!

I must admit I didn't have a lot of success, it was usually vaguely correct but tried often to be to accurate and promptly failed, unable to differentiate between the many based water sports at all accurately, if it had perhaps adopted a hierarchal approach it might have been useful e.g. Water Sport...

Hert, Is it possible to bring up the light curve anywhere else, I hadn't realised it was possible not having seen it within PSU elsewhere!

Re: PSU / TagThatPhoto Problems, does someone have experience or a tip

The situation is manually created ones prior to using TTP are skipped by TTP and also if you manually create entries within TTP then further processing is skipped on those images. Once the images have been changed by TTP then you have to manually request PSU to re-read the metadata I use the "Verify...

Re: merge labels

Type the label you want to merge it with, as you type matching labels with paths will appear, you can then click the appropriate one.

Re: Facial Recognition Instructions

If you edit any of the images especially like cropping, then the metadata for the person position will not be written / correctly and it will need to be rescanned. Given that TTP runs as a service in background then its use of processing power is minimal even when its rescanning files that have been...

Re: what's the deal with a strike-through, greyed-out folder?

Its an "Ignored" folder, i.e. one that has been seen but selected to be ignored so it isn't scanned in the future, right click and you can choose to see it again. I do it for my Editor programs that use a separate sub-folder to hold details of changes.

Re: Folder and file names on the file system

In my case I quite often need to access the images from remote locations and use FTP to download them, also some images appear on pages visible on the Web and so need to be isolated to some extent from images that aren't intended to be visible if people think they could guess the path ;-) Normally I...
