Re: V4.1 64bit for Mac

I have just updated PSu to the 64bit version and it seems to make a huge difference in the speed images appear, scroll and go into full screen mode.
I am not sure colour management yet works as it should, but at least the performance has now become acceptable if not good.

Re: Capture One Pro 9 with Photo Supreme Workflow

<<<Very happy with PSu and CO11, with the occasional moments of frustration with both :) I just bought the CO upgrade from version 9 to 11 without testing it first. Version 9 had solved the problem of eating all the camera meta data and so for me was much better than previous versions, However, I n...

DCraw version used in PSu?

Some time ago I posted about some problems PSu V4 not reading EXIF information from Fuji RAF files http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=26748&hilit=dcraw That specific problem has been resolved quickly. Another issue I had at that point was that I could not get large (2560 wide) previews f...

Re: PSu V4 not reading Fuji RAF Exif on import?

Quick update for those following. Hert is working on an update. In the meantime, I have discovered that DCRAW does not support Fuji X-T2 raw files (2 years after launch, the flagship model?!). A preview size of 2560 was triggering DCRAW conversion, hence the error message. I have now reverted to 192...

Re: PSu V4 not reading Fuji RAF Exif on import?

Can you send me a RAF plus JPG couple? support@idimager.com In addition, importing into the catalog seems to have become even slower than it was in V3... It shouldn't be. What could be the case is that you use a larger preview size in Preferences that now exceeds the preview size of the RAF file an...

Re: PSu V4 not reading Fuji RAF Exif on import?

I should also add that the JPG and RAF files are not imported to same folder, as instructed in my import recipe. For a certain "Date_Event" folder there should be subfolders called Model1, Model2, etc., which are created during the import process. The JPG files are imported in the Date_Event/ModelX ...

PSu V4 not reading Fuji RAF Exif on import?

I have just returned from a short trip where I was importing each day the new photos into PSu and something was not wrong, but I could not tell what because at the end of the day I was too tired. I shoot RAW + JPEG and the versions would not be recognized. When I came home I noticed that the file na...

Re: Dual monitor support?

Thank you both.
I found the option in the preferences and this makes the purchase of a second monitor a bit more likely.

Dual monitor support?

Hi All, I have been trying to find out how dual monitors are support, but I have found mainly old posts and am not sure what is the current state, hence the question. I currently don't have two monitors, but am considering getting a second one. Both would probably be 27", traditional pixel density. ...

Re: Strange unexplained behaviour

PSU will open TIF locally. Is your extension TIF or TIFF? Also make sure that you don't have the TIF or TIFF extension added in Preferences-File Handling as a non image format. The file termination is .tif with one f only. I am not sure what you mean in the second line of your reply. In the Prefere...

Strange unexplained behaviour

I have found some behaviour today that I never saw before and while I have identified when it is triggered, I cannot explain it. I have edited some tiff images in Photoshop using Nik filters and saved as multilayered tiffs. The images have been opened in PS from PSu. After saving and verifying the f...

Re: Colour management, again...

I am a bit wary of doing that because the whole Mac OS X is colour managed, and this seems like applying colour correction twice. Yes, I overlooked that Macs may be different. Pursuing this out of curiosity, I've come across this from Apple's 2014 Technical Note TN2313 : "It is imperative you use c...
