Re: OneDrive sync creating duplicate files

Thanks, Ralf. It's good to know that you have no problems with symbolic links. I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean that sync problems might be caused by a program that changes the timestamp on the files that are being synced? I'm not aware of any such a program, and I've certainly n...

OneDrive sync creating duplicate files

For some time I've been using OneDrive to backup my photos (those that have been catalogued by PSu). They are stored in a folder under the root of the C drive and I created a symbolic link to that folder in the OneDrive folder. So far as I know it has been backing them up successfully on the whole, ...

Re: AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

I've reported the issue to MalwareBytes and they have accepted that "it was a False Positive and should not be detected any more."

Re: AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

Thanks very much for your advice, Hert. I shall take it that you believe there is no reason for me to suspect that PSu has been hijacked by malware, and that the issue has been caused by MalwareBytes being over-zealous in looking out for suspicious disk/processor activity. I shall get MB to unquaran...

AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

I recently installed MalwareBytes (MB) anti-virus. Today I ran PSu for the first time since acquiring MB and it soon stopped. I could not re-run it either from the taskbar or from the Start menu. I found that this was because MB had quarantined PSu. I told MB that I trusted PSu and ran it again, but...

Sorry! I missed the "By Rating" in the drop-down menu under Catalog. Thanks for the replies.

How to select all photos with a given star rating

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I know that if I have a selection of photos in the main window (selected by date, or category, or search results, or whatever) I can filter it by star rating. However, I can't see how to get all photos in the main window so that I can see, for example, all my 5-star...

Re: Rotation and recipes

Thanks, Hert, for your advice. I've followed these steps for one of the problem photos but that did not resolve the issue. However, I then started with afresh with copies of a couple of photos taken straight from the camera and repeated the steps (rotation, labelling, etc) without encountering any i...

Re: Rotation and recipes

I've found - the "save the image with changes in this recipe ..." option in the recipe edit window - the "recipe flattening" option in the Batch window Both of these seem to have the same result: the rotation appears to be applied twice (so the result is wrongly oriented). How can I prevent this dup...

Rotation and recipes

For some time I've been puzzled by seeing some photos not correctly oriented when viewed in Windows Explorer or other programs or when exported to other devices. I've just realised that this may relate to the fact that rotation changes within Photo Supreme are recorded as "recipes" and presumably ar...

Re: PSu suddenly switched back to Day 1 of Trial

Thanks, Hert, for your quick reply.

I had indeed removed the license key file as part of a big reorganisation of my file storage. I've now put it back in the root of my Documents folder and restarted PSu, and all appears to be back to normal. Phew!

Thanks again.

PSu suddenly switched back to Day 1 of Trial

I've been using Photo Supreme for just over a year. When I started it today a box opened at the bottom left corner of the window saying "Trial day 1 of 30" followed by a "Buy Now" button and a link to "I already have my license". Also the Activity pane continuously reports "Building thumbnails". I c...

Re: When filtering by label can I choose "AND" rather than "OR"

In the Catalog Explorer Ctrl+Alt+Click causes the labels to be AND'd but this doesn't seem to work in the Label dropdown in the Filter bar. Am I missing something obvious?

When filtering by label can I choose "AND" rather than "OR"

When I filter by Catalog labels by clicking on labels in the label dropdown in the Filter bar, if I select two labels the result is to show all those photos with either one label or the other. Is it possible to make the filter show only those photos which have both labels? I have tried shift-click, ...
