Re: Export image to another application?

I've recently installed Photo Supreme on a new PC and I had forgotten how to add a link to an external application. In case it helps anyone who is puzzled as to how to do this the process that worked for me was as follows: - open Windows Start menu - right-click on the name of the application that I...

Re: Moving to a new computer

Another issue is that I now have two copies of the Catalog hogging storage space. I copied the Catalog db files from my previous computer to C:\Users\[username]\PSU Catalog. After installing the program I restored the catalog from there. I now see that PSu has duplicated the catalog files in C:\User...

Re: Moving to a new computer

I've tried running PSu as administrator then accepting the update prompt, quitting PSu, checking Task Manager for IDImager processes, clicking OK in the PSu update dialog, clicking "Run the update now ...". Sadly, I get the same error message. Should I go into AppData and run webUpdate.exe as admini...

Re: Moving to a new computer

Thanks. Clicking OK led to a dialog with a button saying "Run the update now ...". Unfortunately after I clicked that I got a "failed to execute" error message. See the attached screenshot.

I have attached a photo.

I've now checked Task Manager and don't see any IDImager processes.

Re: Moving to a new computer

Thanks. The move seems to have worked. After completing the move I tried to update the software. I'm now looking at a dialog headed "Info" which tells me to keep the dialog open and close the application. I've closed the application. Should I now click OK (closing the dialog, presumably) to allow th...

Moving to a new computer

Is there a guide to moving Photo Supreme to a new PC? Is it sufficient to do the following? - backup catalog and thumbnails on the old PC - copy the backups to the equivalent* location on the new PC - copy the image files to the same location on the new PC - install Photo Supreme on the new PC - run...

Re: OneDrive sync creating duplicate files

Thanks, Ralf. It's good to know that you have no problems with symbolic links. I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean that sync problems might be caused by a program that changes the timestamp on the files that are being synced? I'm not aware of any such a program, and I've certainly n...

OneDrive sync creating duplicate files

For some time I've been using OneDrive to backup my photos (those that have been catalogued by PSu). They are stored in a folder under the root of the C drive and I created a symbolic link to that folder in the OneDrive folder. So far as I know it has been backing them up successfully on the whole, ...

Re: AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

I've reported the issue to MalwareBytes and they have accepted that "it was a False Positive and should not be detected any more."

Re: AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

Thanks very much for your advice, Hert. I shall take it that you believe there is no reason for me to suspect that PSu has been hijacked by malware, and that the issue has been caused by MalwareBytes being over-zealous in looking out for suspicious disk/processor activity. I shall get MB to unquaran...

AntiVirus program has quarantined PSu saying it is ransomware

I recently installed MalwareBytes (MB) anti-virus. Today I ran PSu for the first time since acquiring MB and it soon stopped. I could not re-run it either from the taskbar or from the Start menu. I found that this was because MB had quarantined PSu. I told MB that I trusted PSu and ran it again, but...

Sorry! I missed the "By Rating" in the drop-down menu under Catalog. Thanks for the replies.
