Re: scrolling in 1649 causes a CTD

Just like rebooting solves many computer problems, after the compacting, the CTD issue has gone away. I continued to apply tags to a load of images and even with some extreme scrolling, no crashing.

scrolling in 1649 causes a CTD

Was trying to add a bunch of tags, in build 1649, to an existing set of images and if I scroll rapidly down I suddenly end up on the desk top. Reopen the program, scroll again and poof, CTD again. Repeated several times and the same result. Just before, I had removed three folders that are not part ...

Re: Certain Photos Cannot be Synced

After the latest upgrade to 1649 I tried again using the verify files option, no change. Next I selected all of the out of sync and selected Delete which prompted me to remove the files from the database. That worked. Since results matter, it is done but was I using the verify files option in the wr...

Re: Certain Photos Cannot be Synced

In the States (out-of sync), there are 80 items. right click -> metadata -> Read metadata from file goes through the motions, nothing changes. Next I right click -> operations -> verify files. The dialog box reports 72 and offers to remove them. I click start process. The verification service appear...

Re: Certain Photos Cannot be Synced

In the Out of Sync state, I select all and then select verify files and I get a dialog proposing to remove the images since hey no longer exist. I click start processing and then nothing happens. If I select verify folders for files instead, it shows a dialog box for every folder that has missing im...

stopping a process

So I was curious and clicked on the Detail / Technical / F-Number hoping to see what I've been using. I suppose it is looking at all the images in the catalog. Ten minutes latter it is still not responding. How do I know it is still working and not frozen? Is there a way to limit where it looks? Is ...

Re: Certain Photos Cannot be Synced

Was this finally resolved? I have 78 jpg images that stubbornly refuse to sync when I select tools / save metadata to file for all out of sync images. The other 4000+ images from the same series sync.

Re: Is this the same thing?

To continue this topic a bit, when would I select "Also assign its parents" in the catalog properties of a label. I see that all the parents of a given label are also assigned but when would that not be a good thing?

IDimagerSU.exe has stopped working

After upgrading to 4.0.1.1201 (64 bits) I added a set of recent vacation pictures (3147 images). Several times while clicking on various view tabs and then scrolling the main thumbnail view, I would get the "IDimagerSU.exe has stopped working" dialog and its invitation to Close the program. It is bu...

Re: Technical data - Focal length

Here is a sample from my cellphone that causes the Full Exif Dump script to stumble. Included is a screenshot of the place where the stumble happens as well as a text file with the result of the copy / paste.

Re: Technical data - Focal length

I think I've figured it out. When I select an image made by my 80D, M5 or G11, the Full Exif Dump script works fine. Some of the fields are different between the three camera but perhaps that is normal. When I select an image made by my cellphone, most fields (green) correspond to those of my above ...

Re: Technical data - Focal length

Ah, patience is a virtue. Tried it on 12 images and it works, sort of. The output is on the screen. When I select all and copy, The row GPSProcessingMode=ACII doesn't get selected and the paste ends there. Any reason why copy paste should stop? Is there an easy way to have the script output to a fil...

Re: Technical data - Focal length

I also downloaded and tried the script "Full Exif dump" on a set of 1537 images but I get a Not Responding error every time in build 3.3.0.2606 (64 bits).
