I think i'll use Faststone Image Viewer (very fast for viewing and labeling) and then delete all without labeling, and the importing/copying into PS. I think this is the shortest and most fast workflow.

How can I browse files (on a sdcard) before importing selected ones in my catalogue ?
I do sportphotography and shoot a lot of photos. I want only a selected number of photos in my catalogue: I want to browse my sdcard, select photos which I want and then import/copy the photos on/in my storage ...

I've the same problem - But I started with the new version yesterday morning and this morning (after 24 hours), he's still building tumbnails.

It's build 7.4.3.4960 on a database of 273098 photos. Updating database took more than 12 hours (I was asleep when it completed)

after 5 hours 10% progress

in the last update, I have to update the database also, and this process is taking hours. Something wrong ?

I want to delete some duplicates and I've the following search querie
2020 and *(002).ARW@CATITEM.FileName. After searching, this gives me 5012 results. When I want to select this all and delete, after asking delete only ...database, or delete photo's and database, nothing happens most of the time ...

How to avoid importing doubles. I import my photos from sd-card, everytime I've had a shooting, but afterwards I don't delete this imported photos on my sd-card. So, i've much photos as _A7403(001), _A7403(002), etc ...

After compacting database and tumbnails, i get the error 'database or disk full'. But the HDD (on a Nas) where the Catalog is, has plenty (far more than the double of the database) of space.
Somewhere I read that the default temp directory is on c:\Windows - but can this temp directory be changed ...

Importing and synchronizing photos takes a very long time. The database is already big (173.000 photos RAW-format) - one catalog. I'am importing from an sd-card to a USB 3.0 Hard Disk (WD elements) - there is not big difference If I should copying to my sd-hard disk.
Is this normal ? Are there tips ...

When I want to compress my database, i get an error code "database or disk full"
catalog is 31,8 GB, disk empty space is 35.7 GB.
Someone can help me with this ?

I want to import NEW photos from a sd-card. Settings are ok (right import directory,...) , but after the ingestwizard is running, i get "nothing to import or photos are alraedy imported". The new photos are not in the database nor in the importdirectory.
Can someone help me out ? THnx

After updating to the latest version, error is disappeared!
