Re: HEIC thumbnails not showing up
I don't know what is going on with your thumbnails not showing up. Mine always have. Unless it is related to Sequoia. I am still on Sonoma. I can solve your other issue though. If you remove .HEIC from the file extension list, the files will open in PSu instead of Preview. And if you make that chang...

Re: catalog people label thumbnails
I can't address #1, but as for what confirming does, Hert answered that in this post from last March (which, coincidentally, you started) https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?p=136786&hilit=confirm#p136786 "In addition, if the AI has chosen a correct name then you don’t have to confirm....

HEIC photos smaller than JPG in embedded viewer
I changed my iPhone to take HEIC photos. After getting them into PSu, I found that when opened in the embedded viewer (with zoom = "View Image Best), the image did not fill the screen, and showed 100%. This compared with JPGs of the same size which fill the screen and show 61%. To be sure I was...

Re: Suggestion for autoclose?
have the option to automatically shut down the application. Not something I would have any interest in, but I'm curious as to why you need to shut down the application. I hardly ever shut it down (and that goes for most applications I use regularly). I don't know if I am missing something by leavin...

In Floating Viewer setting, the Image Viewer always opens full screen
I just reported this in Mantis (3557), but I'm curious if anyone else has this issue. I recently updated to 6576, and found the Floating Viewer is not working properly. The Image Viewer always opens full screen. I can exit full screen and resize the window. But after closing it, the next time I doub...

Re: Light Table white screen
I have a similar issue, and it's close enough that it may be the same problem. I'm also on Sonoma 14.5, but on an iMac. Like you, I get occasional freezes with the spinning beach ball, and it is mostly when I open the light table, though it has also happened other times, such as opening the viewer. ...

Re: Fast way to mirror a number of images
Yes, use the Batch function. Create a new batch, click the plus button to add a command, select Flip Vertical. Select the photos you want to apply it to, then Run Batch. You can create a similar batch job for rotating.

Re: Catalog filter by Folders anybody else with this problem?
It looks like your problem is fixed, but I was curious, so I tried it on my iMac. I had the same result as you with the folder, though I did not experience a slow reaction adding an element from another category. I saw from Mantis the recommendation to try 6529. So that must have fixed it for you. I...

Re: Catalog filter by Folders anybody else with this problem?
I attempted to check this out, but I get "Access Denied" when I try to view this in Mantis. Both clicking on your link, and entering 3554 in the Mantis search bar.

Re: Build 2024.1.2.6466 not recognizing .AFPHOTO files
I'm afraid I can not be of any help, except to say that with the same version of PSu and Affinity Photo, my .afphoto files are recognized. I tried both Verify Folder Quick and Scan for Missing Files; both worked. The only difference between us is I am on an iMac.

Re: save on edit not working
In regards to where I said scaling is not being saved, I just found that it is only scaling up that is not saved. Scaling down is saved. Regardless, it is still only saving as a recipe with Save Image, and not altering the actual jpg file. I forgot to ask initially, but does anyone else see this beh...

Re: save on edit not working
These are all jpg images, and Save Image just overwrites the same file. I couldn't tell from your response, but did you examine the actual file on the system (the Finder for the Mac)? After I save, I see both the Created and Modified dates are changed, so a save is occurring, but the image is not ch...

save on edit not working
I edited a photo by cropping and scaling, then saved the photo (via Save Image). The thumbnail looks correct, but the file has not changed. When I open the photo in the viewer, the recipe icon shows. It appears that Save Image is only saving the recipe, and not altering the file, which is what I wan...

Re: Marking photos and displaying the image data
I didn't even know you could select photos by holding the shift key and pressing the arrow key, but I tried it, and did not see the problem you describe. Each time I press the arrow key, the next photo is selected (along with the others) without delay. Having done that though, it is not something I ...

Re: Scrolling
I have an iMac, and while not a MacBook, I do use a trackpad, and also have a mouse with scroll wheel for the few times it makes more sense to use. I duplicated your scenario in the Details screen, which entailed opening all submenus. Scrolling with both the trackpad and scroll wheel were smooth as ...
