Re: Copy to folder commands
Could I send you two files for comparison by dropbox please? I got stranded in South America with the Covid scare and cannot obtain a good monitor here. I would appreciate if you could pixel peep for me please.

Re: Copy to folder commands
Thanks, but what actually happens to the image? Is there any quality change? I can see that the file gets considerably smaller.
Yes, it's version 3.3.0
I bought v. 4 but had problems with the font size on my machine, so I re-installed v. 3

Copy to folder commands
I hope everybody is well during this crazy time? Perhaps someone could please refresh my memory since I set this up. For some (strange) reason I have clicked resize in my standard export setting. Was that so that meta data is exported (important)? However, I see another tab for that function. My goa...

wrong "by date" found
My collection of images which I apparently took in 1899 is growing! When imported, they are all renamed to the camera date and time and the description date is the same. The "date time original" and "data time digitised" fields are missing under "technical". Any ideas please? Many thanks in advance.

Re: Feature explained: Apply multiple related labels with one click
Thanks mke,
A great overview of a long awaited feature. I hope to update to 5 when time allows and if a few of the version 4 problems have been addressed.

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Thanks, I did as you said and then read the metadata from the files. That cleared all except a few on a drive that is not currently attached, which was to be expected.

Re: Swapping image hard drive
In Timeline, select 1899. Then select all thumbnails, right click and select Metadata -> Read from File Having finalised swapping 2 failed drives in the last few weeks, I have some housekeeping to do. There are 200+ images dated 1899 which were not taken by my great grandfather ;-). I have tried th...

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Many thanks, Hert! That apparently worked well. :) My spur of the moment panic about losing 20,000 images was unjustified as they were located on another drive. Although the process of swapping drives is quite simple, one lesson from this exercise is to only change drive and/or directory names after...

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Here is another screenshot showing the current status. All folders are correct and populated with images except the most important folder which is the new ImageLib-B. Although I have mapped it to the correct folder, it shows only a subfolder named ImageLibrary-B with all the images. This subfolder n...

Re: Swapping image hard drive
This has only partly solved itself. The red 'offline' folders have corrected themselves! I left Psu alone for 30 mins and everything suddenly looks good. There were no moving indicators to show that anything was happening. So far so good, except as mentioned earlier, ‘ImageLibrary-B’ was the old nam...

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Thanks, done that and I’m now back to where I was before verifying the folder. The screen shot shows the new drive and ImageLib-B is the new library. This is where I was trying to correct things last time, but it went wrong. All other lines show relevant folders, except the penultimate, ‘ImageLibrar...

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Sorry to sound pedantic, but I want to get it right.
1. You are presumably referring to "restore PSu data" command?
2. To do the above, PSu is open anyway, so I can close it and reopen.
3. Then I will map again.
Did I understand you correctly? Thanks.

Re: Swapping image hard drive
Stephen, maybe consider returning to your backup from before the verify. OK, but if you are referring to a data backup, there is no backup immediately prior to the verify. The verify was done following the attachment of the new drive and mapping to that drive. This will now mean starting from scrat...
