Re: how to automatically version files?

Welcome to PSu.

Personally, I think versioning is a highly overrated feature and I never use it. I find it's just as easy to mark 50 individual images as it is to mark 25 version sets. For me it is much easier.

Re: What method to show added files to the drive ?

Perhaps not all of your images were registered to the database after you did your initial, tiny 11Gb import. It might be worth doing that and possibly the detection of new files will be faster. BTW, some software speeds up after 8 mins, so I would wait a bit.

Re: using removable drives, edit folder name , what should I see appear ?

From my Windows days I seem to remember that it's possible to name a drive, so that you could rename your 2 drives to read:
drive F landscapes
and
drive F people

It might not be that way today, but it's worth checking.

Re: Need help with script/macro

These are professional coders :-)
A good idea to colour code the files in this way. I just hope that I can find this tip when I need it.

Re: Capture One Pro 9 with Photo Supreme Workflow

As you are cascading, PSu possibly solves my problem for you automatically.

I has since found out that by right clicking and converting the metadata to XMP, that the camera meta data can be recovered (thanks Hert of the tip) :D

Re: Capture One Pro 9 with Photo Supreme Workflow

<<<Very happy with PSu and CO11, with the occasional moments of frustration with both :) I just bought the CO upgrade from version 9 to 11 without testing it first. Version 9 had solved the problem of eating all the camera meta data and so for me was much better than previous versions, However, I no...

Re: PSu, Luminar 2018 and Aurora 2018

Version 3.3.0.2605 running on Mac EL Capitan will show the .lmnr files, although personally I don't know why you would want to see them.

However, Luminar destroys the headline, description, keywords and copyright information in the exported jpeg after processing a raw file.

Re: Filter or macro?

Thanks, I have not used dynamic search much. I started by saving just a dynamic search where the custom field is "not equal to yes". I should note that this field is not always populated. Sometimes it contains yes, sometimes no, and sometimes nothing at all. This is significant as I need to filter o...

Filter or macro?

I'm trying to filter around 13,000 images with the same city name.
Then:
Only those in jpg format
and with red or yellow colour coding
but NOT those marked with the custom code "yes".

Any ideas on the best way to do this please?

Thanks

Re: Recommended process for importing from Aperture?

Test the free trial for "Aperture Exporter". I believe the full version cost only 15US$, which is a cheap divorce bill to leave an Apple product! AND search this forum for my thread. I'm sure that I explained it in detail, including the things not to do.

Re: Recommended process for importing from Aperture?

When I converted from Aperture a few years ago, I first used an app called Aperture Exporter. At the time PSu either didn't do what I want or I couldn't work out how to use the feature. My task is documented somewhere in this forum, but I'm about to travel so I cannot tell you where it is. Good luck.
