Re: some advice needed how to manage an unusual image collection

Is it normal that the green slide isn't labelled? If so, I'd use that one (only) to identify the specimens, using areas, and identify metabolites (only) on the other 3 slides. Obviously you turn off areas if you want to view the green slide uncluttered. Based on the way that PSU currently displays a...

Hang when deleting image displayed in Light Table

I've had this happen a few times when I've been too busy to mention it; if I delete a single file currently being viewed in the light table, the image is deleted and replaced by a spinner - which keeps spinning until the OS complains.

(I frequently use Ctrl+Y to view a single file full-screen).

Screen redrawing issues on versioning if versions are in separate folders

With versions of an image in different folders, when I do 'Version Detection', the image in the current folder disappears from the screen on versioning. I expect it to remain visible, with a tab for the other version appearing on the screen. In inverse to the above, when destroying a version set bot...

Edit Label Details - display error

When right-clicking and selecting 'Edit Label Details' for a label in the LAP, only the last character of the name is displayed; it's necessary to scroll left to see the entire label. I do this from time-to-time and haven't noticed this issue until today; perhaps related to Build 4494? EditLabelDeta...

Re: Script request - Copy/paste Areas to/from clipboard

Hi Hert,

Many thanks for taking a look at this - it's going to be very useful :)

...although at the moment, using the updated code, I'm unfortunately getting the following error message:

Syntax error.

Re: making similar images dissimilar

If the images look significantly different, rebuilding their thumbnails (by right-clicking, under Operations) should fix it - the file signatures (used for similarity testing) are recalculated at the same time.

Script request - Copy/paste Areas to/from clipboard

If someone has the time and ability, I'd love a script that can copy & paste face Areas to and from the clipboard. I've (another) batch of photos coming up where I'll have many of the same people in multiple images, and being able to copy & paste Areas between them would save a significant a...

Re: How do you handle GPS-info and location labels?

1/ In the locations in Categories the bottom part relating to adding Geo location isn’t on the laptop it ends with Metadata with an arrow on the left side that if you click on it changes the direction but not doing anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled but no change You need to check the box to a...

Re: How do you handle GPS-info and location labels?

Could you give an example please Mke, or perhaps go into this in a bit more detail? It sounds useful. Add the coordinates to the label: LabelDetails.png Then, when labeling, the nearest places to each geo-tagged image appear in the 'Nearest Label' selection (oddly in reverse order, with the nearest...

Re: How do you handle GPS-info and location labels?

Intriguing! I wonder what other countries version report ? I don't find it hugely helpful in Poland, for example, even though it's accurate... Reverse1.png ...compared to the translation: Adama Mickiewicza Avenue Lodz Lodz province Poland ...or how I actually file it (using a label, rather than a l...

Re: How do you handle GPS-info and location labels?

You can then ask for a GEO reverse look-up... then the fun begins... ...So you will have to add in County names or you will end up with villages/towns appearing in the wrong place where they are identical names in different Counties! And it's more unhelpful in other countries, where results in loca...

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3

Is there a reason 7.3 isn't available as an in-app update? I wouldn't even know it exists if I hadn't read the forums. Before it is, on the basis of the feedback so far, it may be worth adding a warning that the database update may take significantly longer than usual. Somewhere between 12 and 18 h...

Re: Relationships & writing catalog data to IDimager ICS schema

You assume that both related catalog labels in a relationship are always assigned to every image where either of the two catalog labels is assigned. Sorry, I should have been clearer in what I was thinking... e.g. "John" is related to "Honda" as "owns/owned by". There ...

Relationships & writing catalog data to IDimager ICS schema

I'd like to propose a change to the operation of the option to 'Write catalog data to IDimager ICS scheme' for relationships. I have relationships set up so that when I add a geographically located building (such as a railway station, museum, church, etc), two labels are assigned; the name of the pa...
