Re: Way to Store Data Other Than XMP?

It can optionally be stored within the images. You need to enable this configuration option: Preferences -> Synchronize settings -> Write settings ->Allow embedded meta writing for RAW files Beware that there are a camp of photographers who would never enable this for risk that it may corrupt an ima...

Re: For those who like a functional rating bar

@Mke; does that fix the Access Violation on your machine? The previous version of the code has actually been working OK since I removed the 'phantom code' (http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=26749&start=15#p118974). But the new code is working fine too. ...although I did get a crash (de...

Re: For those who like a functional rating bar

Mke - What version of PSU are you using? Build 1032. What happens if you use only this script by itself (that is, remove all other custom thumb scripts, even if only temporarily)? A good idea, with very unexpected results. I deleted all the current scripts and pasted in the new code, and still got ...

Re: DxO PhotoLab support

I reply to my question on a preferred workflow when using DxO PhotoLab, DxO support wrote the following: ...However, if even the slightest change is made to your files in the other program, your files can possibly not work correctly in PhotoLab. I guess they need to say that, but I write metadata b...

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Android app that captures GPS trails?
GPS Logger for Android

But note that GPS on mobile phones is only accurate to around ±10m or so. Often better, but sometimes worse, depending on the environment.

Re: PSU default categories?

Note that PSU can also accept a GPS trail recorded on a mobile phone, so you can still match up GPS coordinates with your images even if your camera doesn't record GPS data.

Re: Someone with UltraTag+Pro Vocabulary here?

I'm using my own system, with several additional top level categories in addition to the default ones in PSU. People, to use your example, is a category in PSU because it is pre-configured so that everything in the category writes metadata to the IPTC and XMP "PersonInImage" fields (in the image or ...

Re: Versioning or not

You're right, labels are currently applied to all versions within a version set. FWIW, I did suggest (in this thread - http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=23869 ) cascading labels according to placeholder to provide the kind of flexibility you're after... At the moment I keep everything i...

If you go to Tools -> Preferences -> File Handling, you can add the .pxd extension to those you want PSU to handle.

Re: 2605 or 2606 ?

I don't use a Mac, but the latest version for Windows is indeed 2006, and that's what you'll get if you download a fresh version from the web site (just checked). Upgrading will not affect your databases, though of course it's always a good idea to have a backup. To rename / move your catalog, make ...

Well thery're not mine, but there's a sample gallery of Android DNGs at https://www.camerafv5.com/pages/raw-samples.php that exhibit the same problem.
