Re: this place can't load Google maps...?

Openstreetmap don't provide an API, other than for their own tools, and don't provide satellite imagery, so it would need to be some other provider...

The machine is splendid expect one thing, the keyboard
You can buy stickers for different keyboard layouts that might help - or, if only a couple of keys that you won't forget, try a custom mapping/remapping using MS Keyboard Layout Creator (assuming you're on Windows)...

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?

I used to use ExactFile (ExactFile.com), but that doesn't really work with PSU for me. That's because I prefer to write XML to the image files, so if I change or restructure my catalogue labels, that gets written to the files and they're flagged as potentially corrupt - potentially hundreds of thous...

Re: PSU v4: Renaming of Folders does not work anymore

You're right - can't do it here either on Windows. Have filed a bug report in Mantis (3259)

does the share to folder or ftp or email remove all the exif/IPTC and XMP data embedded ?
Share to folder and ftp certainly have the option to leave or strip metadata. I never email directly from PS, but guess that has the same option.

Not up to writing a script, but for next time there are a number of apps that can log your trip - personally I use Mendhak's GPS Logger for Android

As Hert mentions, normally you would want to retain the metadata in the file but strip it on export using 'share'...

Re: Way to Store Data Other Than XMP?

It can optionally be stored within the images. You need to enable this configuration option: Preferences -> Synchronize settings -> Write settings ->Allow embedded meta writing for RAW files Beware that there are a camp of photographers who would never enable this for risk that it may corrupt an ima...

Re: For those who like a functional rating bar

@Mke; does that fix the Access Violation on your machine? The previous version of the code has actually been working OK since I removed the 'phantom code' (http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=26749&start=15#p118974). But the new code is working fine too. ...although I did get a crash (de...

Re: For those who like a functional rating bar

Mke - What version of PSU are you using? Build 1032. What happens if you use only this script by itself (that is, remove all other custom thumb scripts, even if only temporarily)? A good idea, with very unexpected results. I deleted all the current scripts and pasted in the new code, and still got ...
