Re: Errors during Geo-Tagging

Yeah, the current system seems to require roughly 250 - 300 connections to allow for larger workloads like copying large(r) batches of files to drives or updating large(r) batches of files with tags etc. @Hert, perhaps the lower limit of 250 could be mentioned as a tip in the documentation. @Hert, i...

Re: What is your workflow?

Old topic, i know. Some people in here that i haven't seen for a while. Let's see whether we can revive this thread :) I thought i had posted my workflow before on this forum, but maybe not. Here goes: 1. copy card to "inbox" folder 2. import into catalog from inbox and rename to include date/timest...

Re: Opening into an external editor

Hi Paul, You need to define what PSU needs to do wrt the raw recipes. Currently it can approximate edits for Lightroom, Capture One and DXO. I don't know much about the Adobe suite, but i understand that ACR uses the same engine and xmp definition as does Lightroom. So, maybe switching that setting ...

Re: update 2570 not updating

Thanks Hert for your swift reply. I'm not sure i needed the full version from the link you provided. It turns out PSU had been installed a couple of times. The version my desktop icon was pointing to wasn't the right version. I'd have thought the install process would overwrite the existing version....

update 2570 not updating

I'm on a Mac with the PostgreSQL server version (5). The system notified me of update 2570 and i chose to download it and open in Finder. Then, i ran the update from Finder (closed PSU first). On re-opening PSU, it notified of update 2570. Thinking something must have gone wrong, i now chose to dowl...

Re: POLL: How Many Images Are You Cataloging in Photo Supreme?

I've moved a bit past 165K (PostgreSQL version), RAW and derivatives.

For file management, i'm backing up to a local NAS and 2 cloud backup services. In total now about 5,5 Tb.

I wouldn't know, but it's best you log an enhancement request ticket in Mantis for that (http://mantis.idimager.com/login_page.php, you must sign up first). Other people can then vote for your enhancement request by adding a "+1" to the comments of your ticket. Who knows maybe the owner will chime i...

Re: How to transition from PS v2 to PS Server v3?

Hi, We have been using Photo Supreme v2, single user version and would like to update to Photo Supreme v3 server edition. I've download PostGreSQL and installed it along with PS v3 Server Edition. I am unable to figure out how to import my existing cat.db file into the new server version of PS. I e...

Re: Limited to 25000?

It will import more, but never show more images than 25000 in one view.

You should be able to see how many images in the database by adding up the number counts behind your catalog categories.

Re: PhotoSupreme Server

I'm not doing that for security reasons. But, i would propose a Remote Desktop connection with mentioned end points. At least your Firewall wouldn't let in connections from other end points. You could also take this further, if your Router/Firewall supports it, and move to reverse proxy etc. But tha...

Re: Colour management, again...

PSU for macOS looks in /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ Thanks Hert. I see, that's indeed where my own profiles aren't. Could the place where PSU looks be made configurable? Or conversely, how could i copy my own profiles to this directory? OSX doesn't let me (not in Finder, not in terminal, not...

Re: Colour management, again...

Thanks Preston.

I'm not in doubt where they are on the system. I don't know where they have to be for PSU to show them in the drop down in Preferences - Color Management.

Re: Colour management, again...

Based on Simato's post, i'm checking my installation. However, my ICC profile doesn't show up in the drop down for output profile.

Where should it be located for PSU to see it (on a Mac) for PSU to see it? Does anyone know?
