How much time does a catalogue's backup need?

I'm still suspicious reagarding the catalogue's backup: while the initial steps just took 9 minutes the backup part "idSearchData" is now running for more than 2.5 hours and the progress is just 5%. The catalogue including thumbs db has 85.7 GB for 100k images. - No thumbs included in backup - compa...

Re: Caution when using script "Cascade Meta to Full Version Set for Photo Supreme"

To me the script seems to be OK although updating the timezone is confusing; at the moment I have no clue why this is but especially the subversions created by Capture NX-2 are suspicious. I will keep an eye on them... My remarks from 9:49 are not caused by the script but result from an attempt to c...

Re: Caution when using script "Cascade Meta to Full Version Set for Photo Supreme"

Still more complicated: - the date fields seem to be correctly cascaded between the main version (NEF) and a subversion (NEF as well); this is even true for the time zone - the same main version (NEF) doesn't cascade the DateTimeOriginal (neither time nor time zone) if the subversion is a JPG to be ...

Caution when using script "Cascade Meta to Full Version Set for Photo Supreme"

Today, for the first time ever, I ran the script " Cascade Meta to Full Version Set for Photo Supreme " on selected images in more than one folder. Analysing the result was very frustating: each and every subversion's exif data had been replaced by the exif data of the FIRST SELECTED main version (i...

Re: script/recipe to generate copy as new version?

Frank, try using "Share/Copy to Folder". In the popup, you may change the file name according to your needs: e.g. add the filepath in the first position to direct the file to copy to the same folder, change the filename with a suffix and tick the appropriate choice to make it a version of the file b...

How to implement the IPTC NewsCodes Concept "Colour Indicator"?

Has someone implemented the above mentioned concept of colour indicator ( http://cv.iptc.org/newscodes/colourindicator/ ) or has realised a similar concept in PSu? IMHO it would be very easy if a label "Colour Indicator" (values: coloured, bw, greyscale, color-key...) could be version-specific - whi...

Re: script/recipe to generate copy as new version?

Frank, if your naming convention for folders is made of metadata fields only you can rely of PSU's tremendous possibilities because the whole renaming features are available within the export function. No great deal then to direct the export to the originating folder (for as many files as you would ...

Re: google maps again

Hert, thanks for your advice. Now running PostgreSQL server 4.3.2.1901 and the above popup has never been seen again...

BUT: nearly every time I start the GEO-Tag panel I now get the following pop up
google_maps-script error2.jpg
google_maps-script error2.jpg (20.2 KiB) Viewed 179 times
Any ideas for that as well?

Re: google maps again

After restart the map's window behaves the same: it doesn't appear but the msg pop up does.
Clicking to continue: the error msg shows up 7 times and then the map's window remains empty.
