Re: FastRawViewer interoperability
Glad to hear you found a solution. If not solved, the next steps were to dive into the XMP preferences of both programs. Would I have thought the preference you found was the one ... I don't believe so, unless I had clicked on the drop down and saw the options. The FRV manual contains the following ...

Re: FastRawViewer interoperability
Testing here. RAW file, sidecar file is XMP. I am not writing data to the RAW file. In Photo Supreme PS1. Add stars to the image. PS2. Open FastRawViewer while the file is selected In FastRawViewer FRV1. Stars are present. FRV2. Add color label. FRV3. Close FastRawViewer In Photo Supreme PS1. Color ...

Re: FastRawViewer interoperability
Excellent tests. If the programs are writing to different sidecar files (JPG, XMP), there won't be any communication between them. If you are writing directly to the RAW file, that may also cause issues. In Photo Supreme PS1. Navigate to a folder containing raw images w/out JPG sidecars. PS2. Locate...

Re: FastRawViewer interoperability
After adding some metadata in Photo Supreme to one of the older files, go to the file in the file system (you can do this by right clicking on the file ... Locate in ...). Do you see: photo.RAW (where RAW will be your camera's raw extension) photo.JPG photo.XMP And photo.XMP contains a modified date...

Re: FastRawViewer interoperability
In your workflow, Photo Supreme is writing to the RAW, JPG, or XMP?
I haven't shot RAW+JPG in a very long time, so I am not sure what is possible, in regards to writing, with Photo Supreme.
What version of FastRawViewer are you using?

Re: Dynamic searching
Thanks so much for the response! in my case, 'c' might be [a1, b1, z7, k12...] and I want to be able to easily filter images in a way like 'show me the images where c contains a1 AND b1 ANZ z7' or it might be something like 'show me images where c contains b1 OR a1'. c could be a list with any numb...

Re: Dynamic searching
I have similar custom XMP fields. Using your example, I have "a" and "c", where "a" contains two letters (example: AJ, TC, HW, ...) and "c" may contain a combination of "a" entries (example: AJTC). I would not expect to get a result using this: c=a1 ...

Re: move label structure without images to a new catalog?
Take a look at the URLs. The pages contain instructions and notes (for example: Use with caution. Importing a preference file will overwrite your existing preference.). Export Import Preferences: The GUI does not appear for me. From my notes: When run, it automatically defaults to import and doesn't...

See the Script resources page here https://repository.idimager.com/ From the repository: Macro Command to Catalog Label This script will create catalog labels based on a macro command. For every selected thumbnail the macro is parsed and the value is assigned as a catalog label to the image. https:...

Re: Searching for images in specific folders
I was curious to see if @path worked here. I created some subfolders similar to the ones shown. Verified the Developed folder to "import" a photo or two. Developed@path worked. I was going to try an import, but haven't gotten around to it yet. What I noticed is that if I changed the folder...

Re: Version Cascade not working?
Thanks Sanphotgn, I'm not a member over there, was there a solution to the problem? Not yet. When I first reported the issue, I thought I had found a workaround: slowly scroll through the images before applying the value or macro. Yesterday, that didn't work (but now I am wondering if "Select ...
