Re: File list in the log in dialoge

The drop down is intended to display catalogs that exist in the standard catalog folder or in the same folder as the catalog you have currently open. I very much liked Geoff's suggestion to create different shortcuts to different catalogs. As a side note: storing catalogs on a NAS is tricky. SQLite ...

Re: Darwin Core Trivialname remains empty

dwc:Taxon:dwc:vernacularName I think that should be dwc:Taxon.dwc:vernacularName (no semi colon between taxon and dwc. Could be a typo though. Version: 6.7.2.4229. But I think that has not changed in version 7. Did you try it in V7? It is unclear what you are doing. If I try to match the pieces the...

Re: Compacting thums DB error

Good tip. That used to be the case.

However, since v7, PSU offers the option to downsize existing previews when made smaller so no manual rebuild is needed anymore.

Re: Compacting thums DB error

To compact a database you need minimum the size of that database as free disk space.
What is your preview size configured at? In general there should be no need to set that over 1440. If configured at a higher value then lower that to 1440.

Re: Forum Rules

A reminder: The forum is for product discussions, not for bug reporting. Reason is that bug topics pollute the forum. Once a bug is fixed then the topic becomes irrelevant and reduces the overall quality of the forum content. Forum rule #5 is now rephrased as lately more topics are created that are ...

Noted and reproducible.
FWIW, the intended shortcut for a Full Screen display for a single image is Shift+Enter.

Re: option ignore certain image file types?

Hi Frank. Just in case it wasn't clear. There are Filters and there is the Catalog Filter. I recommended using the latter. A Catalog Filter narrows down the entire Catalog. By dragging file type "PSD" to the Catalog Filter you filter the entire catalog. Sorry if you were already aware of t...

Re: How to transfer PS 5.3.2 Server Edition (PG) data to PS 7.3.0?

Please follow the steps as documented in the Maintenance manual (see chapter: Upgrading to a new PostgreSQL version). https://manualsu.idimager.com/version7/QuickStart-Maintenance.pdf The crux is to use pgAdmin to create a backup in the old PostgreSQL version and restore that with pgAdmin in the new...

Re: option ignore certain image file types?

You cannot ignore supported file types.

Maybe Catalog Filter is an option for you?
Add the PSD file type to Catalog Filter to get a catalog view based on the PSD file type.

Of course, you can create more exotic Catalog Filters as well. Catalog Filters are extremely powerful.

Re: PSU Ingest slow.

You do not mention what type of drive is in your computer. In general when performance problems occur: 1. Place your catalog on an internal SSD drive. Databases are disk intensive and an average SSD is 30x faster than a HDD. That is an easy massive performance win as PSU it’s database interacts with...
