Re: PSU hung after importing photos
This is unlikely to have any bearing on your case but perhaps worth mentioning just in case: in some circumstances PSU can report the wrong disk in error messages. But this related to the mirror disk, and to it being offline rather than full. https://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=3365

Re: Stripping out metadata
I also find geosetter quite useful for editing/stripping the metadata, it also acts as a GUI front-end to exiftool.

Have a category workflow status similar to the folder workflow status; similarly for timeline
I was originally going to raise this as a Mantis for discussion but then realised it would be better to raise here initially to garner views, input and ideas. I have a number of distinct steps in my workflow (as most structured workflows probably do). These steps include for example: labelling-peopl...

Re: General feedback on search function in PSu
It may not be immediately obvious but using dynamic searching with filtering can be very powerful (and easy!). For an example see the section headed "How to filter images by camera body " in my post here https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?p=121665#p121665 In searching and other areas the more ...

Re: DNG Preview Size
Mike, Hert has offered to look at your files and give you support - on something that I suspect is unlikely to be a PSU issue - and has spent time composing a reply that gives his view of the state of the market (quite an insightful one) and yet you still lash out at him?

Plus despite all that Hert responds often so I do feel that comment was a little unfair.

Re: questions about timeline & re-date
Description date is the first date shown but if you scroll down you will see the others, including "date time original" and "date digitised" (they are in the "technical" section. You have to select the "advanced view" using the hamburger at the top right of the details pane (in its heading bar so to...

Re: questions about timeline & re-date
Hi Frank, yes, at one point I thought you could do that but I was mistaken and had to edit my post! I agree that dialogue should have a hamburger. But what you can do, which is what I was clumsily trying to say, is that if you press ctrl-D (windows) to open the detail panel, the dates in that panel ...

Re: questions about timeline & re-date
Hi Frank, if you open the detail pane, there is a hamburger icon to the left of each date which exposes options including copy and paste. Does that help? Perhaps there may be other ways too (scripts etc)

Re: Geo-tagging - A User's Guide
Thanks for the kind words guys, glad it's useful. Ralf, thanks for your input. I used to use geosetter before idimager / PSU had geo capability, excellent piece of free software. But for PSU, that was one of the best enhancements IMO - thanks Hert! Interesting point about phones using the last posit...
