Re: Authenticating with SmugMug fails

Harald,

I upload some photos to SmugMug on Sunday night. I'm running the most recent build of PSU that's been pushed out. I'm not at home right now so I can't tell you which build that is but the upload went smoothly.

Re: can't save manual sort

I've also noticed that when I add a specific version (other than the main version) to a portfolio collection, that version selection isn't saved in the collection. The main version is always selected when I go to the collection. Even if I go into the portfolio collection, select a different version ...

Re: no geo coordinates found

I apologize in advance for my ignorance but I don't understand what the point of a personal API key is and what it does. Do I have to have one in order for lookups to work correctly in PSU? I don't do them very often but when I do, they are very convenient. I needed to do one last week and it worked...

Re: launch exiftoolGUI from within PSU

FWIW, I'm running Windows 10 Home and PSU 4 and I have a shortcut to ExifToolGUI in PSU that I put there long ago (in a previous version of PSU) but haven't used in ages. I tried it just now and it worked flawlessly. I'm using version 3.38 of ExifToolGUI and version 9.75 of ExifTool.

Re: Single or Server?!

I don't use the server edition but according to the license terms, if I'm interpreting them correctly, it appears that you can have as many users as you want on one license, they just can't use it concurrently. In other words, as long as your wife and/or daughter aren't using Photo Supreme at the sa...

Re: V4 Pricing

I wonder if Hert did not use a push message via the megaphone in PhotoSupreme V3? I do not recall seeing this notice before this morning. Glad to see it was there, though. It wasn't there until this morning. I had looked for it earlier. I guess Hert took Mike's hint and did it this morning. Thanks ...

Re: V4 Pricing

I have learned not to depend on email any longer. We used to use email at work for many marketing purposes but it has become less and less effective with servers blocking so much content and people ignoring it too. It only takes a few people to mark a message from a sender as spam to trigger mail se...

Re: V4 Pricing

Michael, My email is correct and has not changed since I originally purchased PSU. I don't see any mail in my spam folder but I have no way of knowing if Comcast blocked it for some reason. I just thought I'd mention this for Hert's benefit. If others are not getting emails, it could negatively impa...

Re: V4 Pricing

FWIW, I didn't receive any email or notification either. If I hadn't been paying attention to the forum, I would not be aware of a new version.

Re: Where can I get V3

I don't want to get into a debate over this since it's really Hert's prerogative anyway. I'm just speaking my personal opinion as someone who has paid to use each version. I would think that the more fair solution would be for Hert to sell you version 3, perhaps at a discounted price, if it is versi...

Re: Where can I get V3

I'm assuming that if I purchase the V4 software, this will entitle me to use Version #3 I wouldn't make that assumption. You can always email Hert (I think his email address is support@idimager.com) or go to the support link at www.idimager.com and use the contact form to ask him that question. I w...

Re: Where can I get V3

The User Control Panel should have links to any versions you purchased. You can get there by going to cp.idimager.com. You'll need your email address and password but there is a link to recover your password if you don't know it. I think the downloads will be recent builds, if not the newest.

There appears to be a 64-bit version for Windows. Is that not true for Mac?

Re: What is your monitor's resolution?

1440 - I have an Asus PB278. If this pole relates to the discussion about supporting 10-bit color depth, it's asking the wrong question. My monitor has a 2560 x 1440 resolution but it's still only an 8-bit device. I debated over whether or not to pay the extra money for a monitor that supports a wid...

Re: PSU default categories?

Note that PSU can also accept a GPS trail recorded on a mobile phone, so you can still match up GPS coordinates with your images even if your camera doesn't record GPS data. Mke, how do you use PSU to match individual image files with the GPS coordinates that are recorded on a mobile phone? Never m...
