Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

Yes, and the versioning menus are now even better. Via right-click on the mini tabs you can directly cascade metadata. That's fantastic! One drawback: The wrong tabs are being selected for the different versions, see here: http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?t=29973 But I am sure, Hert is workin...

Re: V7: Folder with versions shows always main version

And, of course, which particular tab is shown is really important, when you select from which tab to cascade, change placeholders, etc., etc....
Again, really sorry that I overlooked that. I was just too busy.

Re: V7: Folder with versions shows always main version

Hi Hert, great that this version display option has returned. As you know I have much been looking forward to this. Very nice also, that you introduced the hamburger menu with more options how to manage the versions and the right-click menu on the tabs. Also, cycling through versions is now much fas...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

In the next build that setting will return. Make sure to set that to your preferred setting again.
That's a HUGE relief! Thank you!!!
Much looking forward to that update...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

Looks like this might be related: https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?t=29802 If so, meaning that versioning is completely rewritten to make it work again, I am happy to wait and use the manual way in the meantime. Going back to v6 doesn't seem an option, since the database much yoo often would...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

I noticed one more behavior that makes no sense to me: In portfolios it is possible to manually select the version that one wants (by clicking the little version tab). That selection is then saved, if you go somewhere else and return to the same portfolio, the same version previously selected is sho...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

BTW - I thought I discovered a workaround by selecting all files - "right click - show more - from this version set" - displays all versions, even if many files are selected. Great! But then trying to apply the filter to show only specific versions from these version sets: doesn't work. So...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

I just tried: It is no longer possible to filter any versions !!! The MAIN version is always shown, no matter what filter I apply. PSU_filter-print.jpg After applying the filter: PSU_filter-print_not-applied.jpg It makes versioning completely unusable. It means, the only option to display a specific...

Re: Type filter shows only "All JPG" in v7

Oh nooooo !!! This cannot be true! Versions are now always stacked? Even in FOLDERS? Hert - you cannot be serious!!! In folder view versions were ALWAYS shown as separate, all files side by side. And the filter worked perfectly on them. This cannot be true :( :( :( :( This makes PSU v7 completely un...

Re: V7: Rotate image from thumbnail

The rotation mouse options will return in the near future ... Good to know. Much looking forward to it. While we are on the topic of using the new options to show ratings and/or color labels (which means the rotation arrows are not currently available): When I choose "Ratings & Color Label...

Re: Anyone using v7 with DXO PhotoLab 5 ???

Hi Sigi,
yes, I am one and the same
Thanks for the feedback!
One more question: do you think the upgrade is worth it? Does PL5 have to offer significant improvements other than the databaseing (which, like you, I won't use)?
Thanks,
Frank

Anyone using v7 with DXO PhotoLab 5 ???

I have been very hesitant to upgrade to DXO Photo Lab 5. Managing all my images in PSu I don't need the metadata management that DXO introduced and a major reason for not upgrading: I am afraid PhotoLab will just mess with the metadata. Does anyone have experience with using both PSu 7 and PhotoLab ...

Re: V7: Rotate image from thumbnail

Arrrgghh !!! And I was sooo happy to finally being able to get rid off the hovering nuisance, being able to save an additional custom thumb caption AND clicking directly to assign color labels and ratings. But of course if I now now longer can rotate with the mouse, but need to ALTGR+[ on my German ...
