JPG files have labels I never assigned

I have a bunch of jpg files where I used the export function in V5 to reduce tif's and place them in a new folder. This was done many times over several weeks. Now in V6 some of these files have a ton of labels assigned that I didn't assign and they make no sense. I have no idea how many are like th...

Re: In V6 I'm showing versions that aren't the same photo

Tom, I hwould destroy the Version-Set (right-click menu) then synchronize the images that are now out of sync. Then, please check the rules in the settings menu and let the Version detection run over the selected images. Or you manually version those photos... Maybe you want to try out the stacking...

In V6 I'm showing versions that aren't the same photo

I just installed V6 and I see at least two of my photos show 11 or 12 versions. Trouble is the versions aren't the same photos and weren't there in V5. It looks like the two photos with multiple unrelated versioned photos are in one folder. Do I remove the wrong ones one at a time using the version ...

Sorry, a bit confused about downloading V6

In the Control Panel under Actions I can either: Switch to PS V6 for Windows Download license Download 64 bit installer Download 32 bit installer I currently use V5. I assume I want to switch to PS V6 and get the 40% discount right? Do I just enter payment and follow prompts to download and install?...

Re: Best way to recognize new images?

Thanks Hert, I haven't used "Verify Folder Quick". Sometimes if I've made changes in more than one folder I'll use "Scan for Missing Files" at the Drive level. All my photos folders are in my P drive so If scan that I get all the changes. I just tried "Verify Folder Quick" on the "P" drive and got a...

Best way to recognize new images?

When I create new images during post editing the only way I know get PS to see them is to go to Verify Folder > Scan for missing files. Is there a way to get PS to automatically see new images and add them to the database? Or maybe a shortcut?

Re: Google AI - spectacularly bad!

I've never tried using it on import but I find it pretty handy when assigning key words.

BTW; did you know that you can quickly downsize in PSU using the "Export to Folder" feature (Ctrl+E)? PSU can export high quality downsized images. Or is FastStone Resizer offering something unique?
Wow the "Export to Folder" feature is pretty slick. Faster and better than FastStone. Thanks!

Re: Light Table locking up

I mean the info panel inside the lighttable (press I in the Light Table). As illustrated in my screenshot. Did you have that open? Did you also see my reply to the verify folder stall about excluding the catalog folder from virus scanners. Best to not mix two subjects inside one forum topic. As you...

Re: Light Table locking up

I thought I might have found the problem when I realized the catalog folder wasn't excluded in Windows Defender. I added it, rebooted but it still stalled when trying to get out of Light Table.

Re: Light Table locking up

A stall during a rescan of a folder? That should not happen. Did you give PSU time because when WIndows ghosts an application that doesn't mean that an application is stalled. Windows is notorious for its poor ghosting implementation. To determine if the application is really stalled, you can best ...

Re: Light Table locking up

Yes, I usually have a panel open. Details or Labels mostly. I closed all panels (Ctrl+i) and then opened a versioned photo into Light Table and got the stall again when hitting Esc. This morning I was scanning for missing files and it crashed.

Re: Light Table locking up

It seems to be crashing more frequently now (at least once per day). This morning I downsized some TIFs to JPGs and moved them to another folder using FastStone Photo Resizer. When I scanned for missing files in PSu it completely locked up.

Re: Light Table locking up

Well I spoke too soon. It's crashing again.

Are there logs I could run that would perhaps shed some light?

Thanks.
