Remote Access

I have been a Single User, Local Machine Installed version user for many years, since original IDImager days. Forgive me if this is embarrassingly obvious to many of you, but because of the realm I have operated in all these years, I HAVE to ask. I may be looking at opening my catalog, if only for v...

Re: Experienced User Lost in a New Paradigm . . .

David, if I understand you correctly, when I import my CR2 files (RAW) into PSu and view the folder, the thumbnail I am looking at is created from an embedded JPG, not from the RAW file? (Just trying to understand) This would mean I don't need to import or create an external JPG, unless I process th...

Re: Experienced User Lost in a New Paradigm . . .

David, thank you for your thoughtful reply. 1. The reason I thought I should create versions on import is that it seems that very often a RAW file may not present as well as a JPG taken at the same time. I thought I might need to import both and combine them as a Version with the JPG for Display (fa...

Experienced User Lost in a New Paradigm . . .

I have been a digital photographer since about 2000. After some other DAM experiences, I have been using IDImager to catalog my photos since the earlier days, and have followed Hert's efforts stateside to PhotoSupreme. Until recently, I have been able to ignore all the conversations about RAW files ...

Re: Error on Forward Lookup in GEO Tagging

Yes, those are the three that I have enabled. But when I do a straight Lookup I get:

Error: This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized to use this API key. Request received from IP address 104.190.227.110 with empty referer

Re: Error on Forward Lookup in GEO Tagging

Thanks, Hert, that has the Altitude Import working, but I can't seem to find what is preventing me from doing a Forward Lookup :?

Error on Forward Lookup in GEO Tagging

I have updated my Google Maps API and enabled the Javascript and Geotagging APIs. Everything, including Reverse Lookup works fine, except Forward Lookup returns an error: Error: This API project is not authorized to use this API Status: REQUEST_DENIED Same message when I try to retrieve altitude. Do...

Dual C:\ Drive Folders

I've been inactive for a while, but am ready to pickup where I left off. I am puzzled by the fact that my Folders Window lists two C:\ drives: >C:\ [DAFA-B142] >C:\ [665B-CA57] There is a similar file structure under each with duplicate folders. Like folders have a different count of images on each ...

Re: Label Assignment Panel Requests

Charles, I am away and only have access to a tablet, so I can't refer to the nomenclature in PSU accurately, but I have found myself in similar situations to yours, ie., returning from a trip with a lot of new photos, possibly requiring new labels. As I create the new labels, there is an option to i...

Re: GPS Coordinates

I think using a 3rd party application like Geosetter is easier than using odd workarounds for geotagging. Hert I agree, in principal, but for often used locations, geocoding with the label assignment kills two birds with one stone and can save a lot of time. For one ofs, Geosetter would be preferab...
