Restore isn't working
Restore isn't working
I just built a new pc and am trying to migrate everything over to it. I've installed Photo Supreme and activated it with my license. I had run a backup onto a hard drive before shutting down the old pc and everything seems to be in that backup. When I open Photo Supreme on my new pc and go to Catalog|Restore Photo Supreme Data and then select the folder that the backup is in, I get an message instantly saying the Restored. The application will now terminate itself. Please restart the application. (or something like that) When I restart, nothing has been restored. What am I missing?

Re: Restore isn't working
Well, I decided to try doing it manually. I copied all of the content from the back up folder into the Photo Supreme AppData folder. I copied the catalog and thumbnail files into the Catalog sub folder, deleted the empty ones that the new installation created, renamed the old ones to match the names of the new ones that I deleted, and everything seems to have worked. After remapping the folders, all of my images and thumbs seem to be there. Is there anything I need to keep a look out for?

Did you copy over all your special settings such as import profiles?
When I wanted to set up duplicate on another computer I had copied the catalogs but forgot the profiles.

Re: Restore isn't working
I used PSU's backup to back up everything before migrating to my new PC as instructed by the manual. I backed up to a hard drive in my old machine which I then installed on my new machine. Everything was there but it refused to restore. After manually copying everything in the backed up folder to the correct location on my new C drive, PSU has functioned perfectly. All my settings and profiles are working normally. I've been using it for several days now without issues so I assume all is well. I'm just a little disappointed that it didn't restore as it should have.
